Luka Chuppi (transl. Hide and seek) is a 2019 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.[4] Written by Rohan Shankar, it was distributed by AA Films and Jio Studios. Luka Chuppi stars Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon as the leads with Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, Vinay Pathak and Alka Amin in supporting roles.[5][3] Set in Mathura, the story is about a television reporter who cohabits with his headstrong intern and chaos ensues when their traditional families assume them to be married to each other.[6]
Principal photography for Luka Chuppi began in August 2018 and was completed the following month, before it released theatrically worldwide on 1 March 2019. It was a superhit at the box office, with a total gross collection of ₹128.86 crore (US$18 million).[2][3]
