Srimanthudu is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Koratala Siva. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The film stars Mahesh Babu, Shruti Haasan, Jagapati Babu and Rajendra Prasad. Sampath Raj, Mukesh Rishi, Sukanya and Harish Uthaman appear in supporting roles. It was distributed globally by Eros International.

Harsha Vardhan is the sole heir of his father Ravikanth’s business empire worth ₹250 billion. After he meets Charuseela at his friend Apparao’s birthday party, he enrolls in a university course on rural development. Charuseela wants to use technology for the benefit of Devarakota, a remote village in Uttarandhra from which she hails. A friendship blossoms between them, and as time passes they become attracted to each other.

The natural resources of Devarakota are being exploited by Sashi, the brother of central minister Venkata Ratnam, whose tyranny has made many locals migrate to the city to seek a better life. Nevertheless, the village head Narayana Rao hopes that the standard of living will soon improve along with the general condition of the village. Meanwhile, Ratnam’s son Radha uses blackmail to threaten harm to Ravikanth’s family if he does not back out of a prestigious highway contract. Ravikanth’s nephew Karthik, who hopes to succeed Ravikanth in the business empire, leaks to Radha details about an upcoming bid for the contract, which comes to the notice of Harsha. After subtly warning Ratnam at his residence in Delhi, Harsha secretly makes a lower bid on behalf of his father’s company and wins the contract.

When Charuseela learns that Harsha is Ravikanth’s son, she starts avoiding him. When he asks the reason, she says that Ravikanth is a native of Devarakota who left for Hyderabad to earn wealth unlike her father Narayana Rao, and she bids farewell. After asking his father for a long holiday before joining the office, Harsha travels to Devarakota without his father’s knowledge. In Devarakota he meets Rao and introduces himself as a student pursuing a course in rural development who has come to study the village.

After learning more about Devarakota and Sashi’s tyranny, Harsha announces that he will adopt the village and develop it. While he works to improve conditions in the village, Ratnam asks Sashi also to develop the village, partly to win in the upcoming elections, but he remains silent regarding his intention to gain credit for doing so. At the same time, Harsha comes to know from Rao that, as a young man, Ravikanth, wishing, as Harsha does now, to see the village developed, established a dairy farm for the locals’ welfare. After the farm was set up, Ratnam and Sashi set it on fire, causing the death of many, and Ravikanth was blamed for the fire, insulted, and arrested. He walked out of the village, moved to the city, and went on to acquire much wealth.

Charuseela returns to Devarakota and assumes that Harsha is trying to impress her family with the intention of marrying her. Initially livid, Charuseela is impressed when Harsha succeeds in persuading her uncle’s family not to migrate to the city to live with their employed son and instead makes their son agree to visit them every possible weekend. Later, Harsha and Charuseela learn that Ratnam is going to take over all the agricultural land around the village for political gain since the value of the land will appreciate following the official declaration of a new coastal industrial corridor. Harsha confronts them and warns them not to interfere in his work of developing the village.

Harsha later visits a water bottling unit which not only produces alcoholic beverages but also draws from the village’s source of drinking water. He tries to close it, but is attacked by Sashi’s henchmen and is hospitalised. Ravikanth, who has been informed of Harsha’s adoption of Devarakota, manages to bring Harsha back to Hyderabad, where he joins the office after he recovers. Ravikanth later confronts a visibly upset Harsha and decides to send him back to Devarakota, earning Harsha’s love, for which he has long yearned. Harsha hands over the reigns of the business empire to Karthik and leaves.

At Devarakota, Harsha kills Ratnam and Sashi at the factory and construes it as an accident due to an inadvertent short circuit, similar to what Sashi had done before Ravikanth’s arrest years before. The film ends with Ravikanth and his family visiting Rao’s house on Sankranthi, where Harsha, now Charuseela’s husband, receives them warmly.

Gana is a youth who beats crooked people that escape punishment due to faults in the legal system. He is raised by his paternal uncle Sripati and berated by his father Umapati for leaving the military and not having an aim in life. One day Gana is sent to a neighboring village to meet his prospective bride, Mahalakshmi. She is the daughter of his father’s friend, Jaya Prakash, who is a sincere ex-IAS officer and politician. However, Gana meets Hansitha Reddy, who is revealed to be the local MLA, and falls in love with her. He tells his father that Mahalakshmi rejected him because he gets into fights.

Vairam Dhanush is the son of Chief Minister Reddy. Dhanush kills a farmer for refusing to give up his lands. Later, a prominent businessman’s son named Paddam Veerendra comes to Dhanush to escape punishment for raping and murdering a college girl. The victim’s parents seek the help of Hansitha to get justice. At the trial, a new defense lawyer Govindaraju twists the case, making it seem like the girl provoked her beating by blackmailing Veerendra. The judge decides in favor of the lawyer’s argument. The parents of the girl commit suicide. Gana learns about the lawyer and beats him up and also cuts off Veerendra’s legs. Dhanush takes this as a challenge to his influence and becomes incensed.

Hansitha falls for Gana and promises to marry him if he swears in the presence of God that he will stand behind her and never get into fights. He is about to do so at the temple when a badly injured Mahalakshmi arrives, running from people who try to kill her. Gana holds her up, beats everyone who tried to kill her, and ultimately gives Mahalakshmi courage.

Narrating a flashback, it is revealed that Mahalakshmi did not reject Gana. Gana had gone to Mahalakshmi’s house and had saved her from Obul Reddy, who is working for Dhanush. Then, Gana had declined the marriage. Mahalakshmi explains how Dhanush tried to blackmail her father. Her father had been protecting farmers so that they would not have to sell their lands for laying down of oil pipelines. This infuriated Dhanush, who killed the farmers. When Mahalakshmi intervened, slapping and insulting Dhanush (she had also called him a zero, which angered him more), he killed her father and tried to kill her. She narrowly escaped and had run for four days with no food to find Gana, whom she had fallen in love with.

Gana decides to solve her problems. He goes to Dhanush’s home, beats his men, and tries to burn Dhanush alive, but Dhanush escapes. Gana is questioned for the attack but claims that other people beat Dhanush. Eventually, Obul Reddy tells the truth about the atrocities that he committed in the village, and the media is thrown into an uproar.

Dhanush arrives at DGP Ranjit’s office to surrender but shoots at Ranjit. Dhanush tries to kill Umapati, but Sripati takes the bullets. Reddy stops Dhanush from shooting anyone else and tells Umapati to call Gana and make him surrender to Dhanush. Told that Sripati will only be taken to the hospital if he surrenders, Gana does so and is beaten and stabbed by Dhanush and his men. Reddy then tells Dhanush to kill Sripati, which enrages Gana into killing the thugs and Reddy. Gana then fights Dhanush and cuts his head with an axe when he tries to run over his father and uncle.

A cover story is told that Reddy and Dhanush were killed while trying to protect Ranjit from unknown terrorists. Gana then announces Hansitha as a candidate to become the new CM.

Saaho is a 2019 Indian action thriller film written and directed by Sujeeth. It was produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati under their banner UV Creations. Filmed simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages, it stars Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, marking the former’s Hindi debut and the latter’s debut in South Indian cinema. The film also has Jackie Shroff, Arun Vijay and Neil Nitin Mukesh in other prominent roles. The film follows an undercover agent and his partner go after a thief who has stolen 2,000 crore rupees. Soon, they realise that the case is linked to the death of a crime lord and an emerging gang war.

Narantak Roy, the crime boss of Waaji City’s underworld, is killed in a deliberate car crash in Mumbai. Devraj, the son of a former crime boss, declares himself the next crime syndicate leader. Ibrahim reveals to Kalki, legal advisor of the Roy Group, that Roy’s family has been killed twice, and he has been raising a secret for 25 years. The secret was that he had a son named Vishwank Roy. Vishwank foils Devraj’s plans by succeeding his father as the next boss. Vishwank is determined to unmask his father’s murderer.

The story turns to India, where a mastermind steals about two trillion rupees with ease. Since he used random people to rob the money who had no idea about what they were doing, it was difficult to identify the culprit. A nationwide search ensues to find the culprit. Undercover agent Ashok Chakravarthy, who is extremely secretive, is assigned head of the search. Working with Amritha Nair, an officer he likes, they uncover a thief named Jai. Ashok meets Jai in the bar and he reveals to him the black box, the key to the locker holding the money of all the gangsters which is located in Waaji City. Kalki, on Vishwank’s command, travels to Mumbai and takes the black box. During all this, Amritha and Ashok fall in love.

During a mission to catch Jai red-handed, there is a chase in which Amritha, Ashok, and David (a hacker) confront Jai. However, in a twist, it is revealed that the thief “Jai” is the real undercover police officer Ashok Chakravarthy all along. The lead officer that has been with them the entire time is actually the real thief who stole the two trillion rupees, Saaho. As Saaho escapes with his partner David, Amritha, along with the entire police department, is left stunned.

It’s revealed that Devraj had Roy killed to usurp his throne. Amritha tracks Saaho and pretends that she is still in love with him but is actually helping Ashok. However, she actually falls for Saaho in the process and betrays Ashok. When Amritha is shot and taken away by Devraj, Saaho is forced to give him the black box. However, he deceives Devraj and gives the black box to Vishwank. Saaho destroys Devraj’s building and steals the money he had. He is chased by Ashok and the police, with a sniper in a helicopter aiming at him and a person in a jetpack chasing him. Saaho overpowers his opponent. Amritha, also in the helicopter, tries to save Saaho by distracting the sniper, but the sniper pushes her into danger. Saaho saves her with a jet pack but is arrested.

Kalki is revealed to be on Devraj’s side. She opens the vault with Vishwank’s fingerprint and the black box and finds pictures of Roy and his son. Saaho battles Devraj’s goons and defeats them. Devraj arrives, and Saaho reveals that he is Siddhant Nandan Saaho, the real son of Roy. He also reveals that he did all this to avenge his father’s death. Ashok and Amritha learn Saaho’s real identity as well. Kalki sees a portrait of Roy and Saaho in the vault, shocking all of them. Saaho kills Devraj, finally avenging his father’s death.

Ibrahim reveals that Vishwank was not Roy’s son, but Ibrahim’s own son; his real name is Iqbal, and he was brought in to save Roy’s throne. He reveals Saaho’s real identity to the gang members, and Saaho becomes the next king of the underworld. Months later, Saaho locates Amritha in Innsbruck, Austria and proposes; they kiss. A sniper aims at Saaho as he opens his eyes, aware of the danger in the distance.

Master is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Produced by Xavier Britto, under his maiden production house XB Film Creators, the film stars Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi while Malavika Mohanan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das and Gouri G. Kishan play supporting roles. The film revolves around an alcoholic professor, J. D. (Vijay), who takes a three-month teaching job in a juvenile home, unbeknownst to him. He soon clashes with a ruthless gangster named Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi), who uses the children as the scapegoat for his criminal activities.

In Nagercoil, 2002, a 17-year-old boy named Bhavani witnesses his family get murdered by his father’s rivals. He is forced to take the blame and is incarcerated in a juvenile detention facility, where he is tortured mercilessly. As a consequence, he develops a ruthless and brash persona. Years later, Bhavani escapes from the facility and becomes a criminal in the lorry and trade business. Gradually, he becomes a feared gangster, and remains immune from punishment by coercing the inmates of the detention facility to take the blame for his crimes. Creating an enormous empire for himself, he grows on par with his father’s former rivals and eventually kills them.

In Chennai, 2019, John Durairaj “J.D.” , a college lecturer beloved by his students for his student-friendly approach, is struggling with alcoholism and bitter dislike from fellow staff. Only Charu, a newly hired lecturer at his college, sympathises with him. After he organises a college election that goes awry, he is assigned to a juvenile detention facility for a three-month assignment he does not remember volunteering for. He reluctantly assumes his new position, and is warned by the prison authorities of the rampant drug abuse and violence there, but J.D. pays no heed.

Two brothers: Sabari and Manikandan, who are supposed to surrender for one of Bhavani’s murders, slip J.D. a note unknown to him, and later that night try to call him while he is drunk. When they are caught, Bhavani kills them and their bodies are discovered hanging from the ceiling of the detention centre classroom next day. J.D. is detained for the murders. A grief-stricken Charu admonishes J.D. for his negligent behaviour, revealing that she was the one who had signed him up for the job, believing him to be the only teacher capable of understanding the needs of the inmates. She reveals herself as a non-governmental organisation worker investigating the crimes occurring in the facility; the brothers had desperately contacted her for help. While in detention, J.D. discovers the brothers’ note to him, detailing the horrific activities taking place inside the centre. Heartbroken, he thrashes Bhavani’s goons who had been dispatched to kill him and calls him, promising to make him pay for the boys’ deaths.

Having quit drinking, J.D. slowly gains control over the institution and begins to reform the inmates. His actions are opposed by Das, an older inmate responsible for controlling the younger children. With the support of a young inmate, Undiyal, J.D. uncovers crimes in the facility and gets the inmates to record statements. J.D. discovers that Bhavani regularly makes the inmates take the blame for his crimes. J.D. then records a video of the younger inmates including Undiyal, speaking about Das’ crimes in the facility. Bhavani’s goons target Charu and retrieve the video from her, sparing her only because of Undiyal’s intervention.

Undiyal reveals that select inmates are tattooed with the Tamil letter ‘ப’ (“Pa”), which allows them unrestricted access to free food and drugs from Bhavani’s associates in exchange for surrendering for his crimes. J.D. raids the respective establishments and cuts off the drug supply to the detention facility, much to Bhavani’s frustration. He also sneaks into Bhavani’s place and threatens him and his men with dire consequences (while unknowingly holding Bhavani himself at ‘knifepoint’).

The detention facility is shut down by the government, with the inmates being sent to other detention facilities and state prisons, on the basis of their age. J.D., Das and the other adults from the facility are sent to prison, where they intend to reform the inmates there. Charu thanks the government for shutting down the detention facility but is heartbroken on hearing JD’s, Das’ and childrens’ arrest.

Disco Raja is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language science fiction action film directed by Vi Anand and produced by Ram Talluri under SRT Entertainments banner. It stars Ravi Teja in a dual role along with Payal Rajput,[6] Nabha Natesh, Tanya Hope, Bobby Simha, Sunil, and Vennela Kishore. The music is composed by S. Thaman with cinematography by Karthik Ghattamaneni and editing by Shravan Katikaneni. In the film, a new scientific discovery is used by a group of scientists to reanimate a murdered man with a violent past.
A brutally attacked man left for dead in the mountain ranges of Ladakh is found frozen by an expedition team. He is taken to the Re-Live lab, where Dr. Shishir introduces a technology that can revive dead people to Dr. Parineeti and her colleague Phalguni. Following the experiment, the subject wakes up but with no memory of his past. On the other hand, his girlfriend Nabha explains to a loan officer that he, Vasu, handled multiple professions from day to night, during which she fell for him. While searching for his stepbrother Kaushik who snatched the family’s money, Vasu found him but never returned. She also reveals that Vasu’s family members are actually orphans who came to live together. Back to the lab, Vasu escapes using Parineeti’s card but is recaptured after he faints due to being exposed to heavy lighting. Parineeti then explains that he was killed by someone and revived by the doctors. However, Parineeti is adamant about making Vasu revive his memories, and retrieves a commodity found with his corpse, giving it to Phalguni for servicing.

In an attempt to gain the attention of those who remember him, Vasu thrashes a minister, and the video goes viral following his arrest. An aged gangster named Burma Sethu is surprised to find him alive and sends his men to pick him from the police station with the help of Laalu Sastry’s group. The goons group take away Vasu, his brother, and the doctors. Circumstances force Phalguni to throw out Vasu’s package given by Parineeti, and Vasu picks up the package to find a music player and headphones. Listening to the music, his memories are revived. He fights off the henchmen, revealing himself to be Disco Raj; this information also reaches to Sethu by Laalu Sastry. Shishir explains that Raj’s actual age is 70 as he was frozen for 35 years; he is possibly not Vasu. Raj takes Phalguni along with him on a quest to rediscover his identity. In the hospital, an injured Shishir explains to Sethu about Raj’s revival. Raj visits the Madras Bar founded by him, where a friend explains how Raj used to be a music-loving gangster at loggerheads with Sethu, a rival gangster whose refusal to collaborate sparked a gang war. Both parties killed each other’s members, but Raj succeeded in getting Sethu arrested for life. Raj also fell for a deaf and mute girl named Helen, who initially declined but eventually reciprocated. When she got pregnant before marriage, Raj married her, faked his own death and left behind his gang. However, Sethu was freed from prison and vengefully killed Raj’s gang members. Raj and Helen were also attacked in Ladakh, but Raj managed to send Helen away in a truck before himself getting killed.

On the other hand, a police officer who has rescued Vasu and told him about Raj, his father, tells him to murder him for killing Helen. Arriving at the spot, Raj and Phalguni are attacked by Vasu, who questions Raj about Helen’s murder. Raj denies killing her and gets into a fight with Sethu. A stabbed Sethu reveals he did not get Raj killed in Ladakh, and he came after him to avenge his wife’s murder. Raj denies killing her and realizing the truth, shoots the police officer who had not just brainwashed Vasu but also sent goons to kill Vasu’s family. Seeing the photo of the officer’s corpse, the goons retreat. Raj and Phalguni discover that a man named Anthony Das gave the cop orders to kill them, and along with Vasu, hold Anthony’s men on gunpoint, before Anthony, revealed to be Raj’s gang member Uttar Kumar (Sunil), shoots Raj. He reveals that he killed Sethu’s wife and got the latter to kill Raj’s gang. He even faked his own death and was one of the men who stabbed Raj in Ladakh. However, Raj, Vasu, and Phalguni together fight off and kill the goons. Raj kills Anthony, and himself succumbs to the injuries. Returning to Delhi, Vasu pays his family’s loan with the help of Kaushik and reconciles with Nabha. At the end, Raj is brought back to life once again by the doctors, while Sethu and Anthony are also recovering in the lab.

Kaappaan is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by K. V. Anand and written by Pattukkottai Prabakar. It was produced by Lyca Productions and stars Suriya with Mohanlal in an extended cameo with Arya, Sayyeshaa Saigal, Boman Irani, Samuthirakani and Chirag Jani in supporting roles

Terrorists attempt to assassinate the Indian Prime Minister, Chandrakanth Varma, in New Delhi. The event security services learn about this, and the attack is started when the PM arrives. The PM is saved and sent to his office. The Government thwarts the attempt with National Security Guard (NSG) operations on Varma’s direct orders. Unfortunately, the Union Minister for Communications is killed as collateral damage. The deceased’s daughter is Anjali, the PM’s junior office secretary. At the same time, in Thanjavur, Kathiravan, aka Kathir, is an organic farmer who also moonlights as a special agent working for the country’s military intelligence. Meanwhile, the captured terrorist reveals another plot to assassinate the PM during his visit to London. The SPG seek Kathir’s help to protect the PM in London, and Kathir is able to identify and shoot the suspect. Anjali mistakes Kathir for the assassin and tails him, but he tricks her into getting drunk and shakes her off. Varma then leaves for India only to find that the Indian soldiers in Kashmir were killed by the Pakistani army. Business tycoon and public figure Rajan Mahadev meets with Varma and secretly discusses about methods of retaliation.

While celebrating Kathir’s coworker and friend Joseph and his wife Priya’s wedding anniversary, Joseph gets a murder threat, and his pet cat is fatally shot. Kathir and Joseph track the mysterious caller, but he diverts them with a mini bomb blast and escapes. Meanwhile, Varma leaves for Kashmir to address the public. A mysterious caller tampers with the SPG’s communication system and points to a bomb on the stage where Varma is present. Kathir locates the explosive and throws it away without any casualties. Varma is moved to his convoy, but the caller uses this scuffle to diffuse yet another bomb planted in Varma’s car, killing him instantly.

As an aftermath of Varma’s untimely demise, there is a power struggle for the successor to the PM’s position. Varma’s advisor chooses Varma’s son, Abhishek Chandrakanth Varma, to be the next PM to avoid a political split. Kathir returns to the crime scene and finds an abandoned house in the vicinity, which is revealed to be the place where the killer had been. Joseph and the forensic team find evidence and match it to Ranjith, a disgraced double agent in the SPG and also their friend. Ranjith is now out for revenge on Varma and the SPG because of his prior arrest resulting in his family’s suicide.

Meanwhile, the fields in Thanjavur have suddenly infested with male caelifera locusts. It is orchestrated by Mahadev, since the farmers didn’t give up their land for his mining company. Mahadev also happens to be the brain behind Varma’s assassination, and Ranjith and Prem are merely his puppets. Abhishek and Mahadev discuss about this ongoing feud and make a deal that in the immediate press conference, Mahadev will agree to shutting down his mines in Thanjavur. Mahadev seemingly agrees, but secretly plans to release both male and female caelifera, which will ensure the destruction of the crops without any chances of revival, and his mining company can be established without further problems. Kathir figures this out and destroys the train in which the locusts are being transported. At the press conference, Ranjith gains entry to the control room and plans to kill Abhishek on Mahadev’s orders. Kathir beats up Ranjith, who reveals that the bomb is with Anjali. She is called to the control room, and they find that the cast on her broken arm contains the bomb. Anjali’s cast is removed, and the bomb is disposed of. Furthermore, Ranjith also says that Kathir’s jacket has a bomb and removing it will cause it to detonate. With Kathir frozen on the spot, Ranjith and Mahadev escape and enter the latter’s car and detonate the bomb. But we find that Kathir had found the bomb in his jacket earlier and placed it in Mahadev’s car. The bomb gets detonated, and Mahadev and Ranjith are killed on the spot, thus ending their reign of terror.

Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava is a 2018 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, and produced by S. Radha Krishna on Haarika & Hassine Creations banner. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Pooja Hegde, Eesha Rebba, and Jagapathi Babu while Sunil, Naveen Chandra, and Supriya Pathak playing supporting roles. The film features score and soundtrack composed by S. Thaman.

A 30-year-long war between two rival organised crime groups from two villages—Kommaddi led by Narappa Reddy, and Nallagudi led by Basi Reddy—has been affecting the lives of people from both gangs. Narappa Reddy’s son Veera Raghava Reddy, who was in London for 12 years, returns to the village. On his way home, he ends up losing his father in an attack by the opposition, following which he undergoes a violent transformation. He participates in the fight, murders Basi Reddy’s gangsters, and stabs the latter himself, and everyone believes he has been murdered. Upon realizing that violence might not be the ultimate solution, he decides to leave for Hyderabad, hoping that the fights will reduce as the opposition will not have anyone to fight with. He goes to Hyderabad, befriends Neelambari, and circumstances force him into living with two women, Aravinda and Sunanda’s family. Aravinda influences his beliefs and thoughts, and falls in love with Veera Raghava. Meanwhile, Basi Reddy is found alive, and orders his gang, headed by his son, Bala Reddy, to chase Veera Raghava.

Meanwhile, Veera Raghava helps Aravinda and Sunanda’s younger brother, a schoolboy, in writing a story about violence, which is inspired by his own life. The story eventually gets published and seen by Basi Reddy, who realizes it to be similar to the life of Veera Raghava. Basi Reddy orders his henchmen to kidnap Aravinda and Sunanda’s brother from his school. The henchmen attempt to kidnap Aravinda and Sunanda’s brother but are stopped by Veera Raghava, who fights them off while making sure no one gets killed. He eventually learns from one of the gangsters that Basi Reddy is alive. Soon, Aravinda is kidnapped by Bala Reddy but rescued by Veera Raghava who threatens him on the phone. Later, he explains his past to Aravinda and Sunanda then he leaves for his village. Aravinda is intrigued and accompanied by Neelambari to Veera Raghava’s village. They film a documentary about people affected by the corruption caused by the organised crime groups, while Veera Raghava attends a meeting with Bala Reddy and some ministers. He tries to convince them to stop fighting, but eventually fights off the henchmen when Basi Reddy’s son refuses to comply. Veera Raghava manages to emotionally convince him for the peace treaty, following which Basi Reddy murders Bala Reddy. Aravinda and Neelambari, who were staying at Basi Reddy’s house since their car broke down, learn his truth and are held hostage.

Veera Raghava is contacted by Basi Reddy, who calls him to an open field. Basi Reddy slashes Aravinda’s arm, stabs Neelambari, and attempts to fight Veera Raghava, who keeps dodging in an attempt to not start another fight. Basi Reddy tells him he killed Bala Reddy, and now no one would stand for peace but is shocked when his gangsters, who have had a change of heart listening to Veera Raghava’s words, take Aravinda and Neelambari to the hospital despite being threatened. Enraged by the death of Bala Reddy, who was his only ray of hope, Veera Raghava murders Basi Reddy using a knife and sets him on fire so that no one can learn about his murder.

Veera Raghava confesses to Basi Reddy’s wife that he has murdered Basi Reddy. The latter, who is heartbroken at her own son’s death at her husband’s hand, washes the weapon and takes Veera Raghava to the village. She files a complaint with the earlier corrupt police that her husband murdered her son and escaped, thereby ending the fight in the village. Veera Raghava nominates her as an MLA, which she wins unanimously.

Krack is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film directed by Gopichand Malineni, who wrote the script with the dialogues given by Sai Madhav Burra. It stars Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Samuthirakani, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Produced by B. Madhu under Saraswathi Films Division banner and based on multiple true incidents that took place in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film depicts the conflict between a circle inspector and a gangster.

Venkatesh narrates that a ₹50 note, a green mango, and a nail resemble the fate of three persons who come across a police officer.

A BBC journalist arrives at a jail in Delhi to interview Saleem Batkal, a criminal convicted for Mumbai blasts, but Saleem demands money from the interviewer, which to their astonishment is just ₹50. Upon taking it, he tells that he rented a house that is ₹50 cheaper than the previous one due to a scuffle between the owner and broker. The house Saleem rents at Kurnool for passport verification with fake details falls under the jurisdiction of Shankar’s police station, where Saleem’s men have no influence. After a dramatic turn of events, he is caught by Shankar, who notices the details Salim gave are fake. When Saleem tries to warn about his background, Shankar beats him up and arrests him.

In Kadapa, Konda Reddy, a highly sadistic goon, occupies the land of a doctor. When Konda Reddy is in a meeting, a girl tries to pluck from a mango tree in his yard, for which he angrily unleashes his dogs upon her. The girl is injured, and her mother files suit on him. The SP calls Konda Reddy, telling that this case might put Konda Reddy in trouble because it will be dealt with by CI Shankar. Konda takes him lightly, but the SP insists him to meet Katari Krishna, who is in the central jail of Rajahmundry. Katari appears as a regular prisoner, but Konda Reddy is intrigued when he learns about Katari’s criminal record. Upon asking, Katari narrates his story that he rose to power by creating a bloodshed in Ongole, and is jailed later because of a nail.

Shankar is appointed as CI of Ongole, and meets constable Kiran, the son of a constable who used to work with Shankar. Jayamma, a close aide of Katari’s, has a habit of going to the cinema on Fridays. There, she sees Katari’s daughter with Kiran, and gets him grotesquely murdered by appointing men from Vetapalem. Shankar investigates about the murder, while relishing his memories with Kiran. He finds out that Katari was accused for a similar kind of murder a few years ago. At a village fair, Shankar goes to bring Katari to the police station for enquiry, Katari warns Shankar of his background, which irritates Shankar and gets him arrested.

Katari is released when Jayamma gets him a bail, but they are stunned to know that his daughter married another police constable. That night at the cinema hall, her boyfriend’s leg is accidentally pierced by a nail, due to which Kiran drops her at the house. Unaware of this, Jayamma misinterprets Kiran to be her boyfriend. During their wedding reception, Katari’s wife requests the couple to leave the town to be safe. She, however, conspires to kill her daughter’s husband. Katari’s men attack them at the bus station, but Shankar saves them. A man caught their names Jayamma was the perpetrator. Knowing this, Katari asks his men to kill Jayamma, so that his name does not come out. Jayamma is killed by the time Shankar arrives to arrest her. While chasing the killers, he shoots one of them, but accidentally kills an innocent bystander. Shankar is suspended, but during his private investigation, he learns that his associate Tilak had killed that innocent, as he was on Katari’s payroll. Shankar gets hold of all the evidence against Katari that Tilak has. Katari tries to warn Shankar by attacking his family, but his wife Kalyani, a former police officer, is able to defend them. Shankar rejoins his job and fights with Vetapalem gang members, and kills all of them at the beach. And Shankar tracks down Katari to arrest him. Katari tries to escape by boarding a lorry, but its tyre gets punctured by a nail, and he is caught.

Now Konda Reddy makes sure that he does not use the word “background” in front of Shankar, and treats him with respect, but his assistant hurriedly comes and utters the word. Shankar thrashes him and puts him in the same jail where Katari is kept. Saleem, now transferred to that jail, tells them he is trying to seek revenge on Shankar. They both laugh it off.
