Synopsis:

Wealthy Anjali (Shilpa Shetty), is passionately in love with poor Dev (Sunil Shetty), both plans to get married. But Anjali’s family objects and instead get her married to equally wealthy Ram (Akshay Kumar), who lives with his uncaring step-mother and siblings. But Ram believes that one day his family will surely undergo a change of heart. However, Anjali finds out that Ram is not respected, but does not care as she does not love him, because she is still haunted by memories of her past love. Ram continues to be affectionate towards her and his family, then things change, when Ram decides to assert himself and asks his family to leave him and his wife alone. Anjali starts warming up to Ram, when Dev shows up – this Dev is not the poor Dev that Anjali once knew, this Dev is a multi-millionaire, scheming, and devious, and a Dev who will try to win Anjali over by hook or by crook. But Anjali bypass her haunted memories of Dev and finally falls in love with Ram and will not leave him by any chance.

Thakur Suraj Pratap (Jackie Shroff) sees a young woman performing pooja at a temple, and instantly falls in love with her. He finds out that the woman’s name is Pooja (Ashwini Bhave), and belongs to a poor family, consisting of her dad, Ramlal, her mom, and a brother named Raju (Salman Khan). He approaches Ramlal for the hand of Pooja, and Ramlal is delighted to accept him as his son-in-law. They are married with pomp and ceremony. Pooja is very fond of Raju, and takes him along. At the Thakur’s palatial home, they are introduced to Jyoti ( Rambha) Pratap’s sister. Years later, all have grown up. Pooja has been unable to have any children, and Raju and Jyoti are in love. One day Suraj meets Vaishali (Shweta Menon), a stunning courtesan, and decides to make her his mistress. He disregards any advise against this decision, and even casts Raju away, and cautions him from having to do anything with Jyoti or his household. He even threatens to divorce Pooja over Vaishali. Unable to bear the shock, Ramlal passes away. Raju’s attempts to convince Suraj to let go of Vaishali are all in vain, as Suraj openly weds Vaishali, and asks Pooja to accept this decision or else leave his house. Pooja will now have to decide to stay with Suraj or leave him with his new wife.

Prem Kapoor, an aspiring popstar, lives with his elder sister, Neelu, and brother-in-law, Vinod. Prem is in love with Nisha and both hope to marry soon. The wedding is planned, and preparations are made. On the day of the wedding, Nisha does not show up. When Prem asks for an explanation, Nisha tells him that she is marry a rich and wealthy young man from the U.S., who will be able to look after her and her ailing brother. Prem is devastated, which leads him to alcohol. This continues on, until Prem meets Priya Sharma, and falls in love with her. Before he could even propose marriage, Priya announces that she is getting married to a rich and wealthy young man from the U.S. named Rahul Puglia. In this manner Prem gets ditched for a second time and blames himself for not being rich enough, and takes to alcohol. But will alcohol resolve Prem’s situation and his heartache, or will he continue falling in love, and getting ditched over and over, again and again.

Synopsis:

The story of a bunch of misfits whose misconception about each others backgrounds end up in a series of chaotic, yet comic outcomes. Aftab Shivdasani (Nandu) and Rimi Sen (Anjali) play two strangers who have to pretend that are a married couple in order to get a place to live. Paresh Rawal (Radheysham Tiwari) plays a rich, yet ground to earth businessman whose business is named after his wife (Shoma Anand) Anjali. Akshaye Khanna (Jeetu) plays a young man starting a new business in electronic ware. Things get complicated when Rimi Sen goes to Paresh Rawal’s house in search of a job & meets Akshaye Khanna who falls in love with her thinking she is Paresh Rawal’s daughter. Paresh Rawal’s wife thinks that he is having an affair with Rimi Sen & while Paresh Rawal thinks his wife is having an affair with Akshaye Khanna due to Rimi Sen and her having the same name. Then comes in Shakti Kapoor (Tejabhai alias Kachara Seth) whose daughter falls in love with a guy pretending to be Paresh Rawal’s son and soon everything gets out of control.

When newly married bride, Neelu, was brought in the brothel by her husband, Appa Rao, on false pretences, Muskaan Bano, a courtesan for several years, also remembered her unfortunate story. Things change when the police raid the brothel, and apprehend the patrons and the courtesans. Inspector Sawant takes a liking to Muskaan, and decides to promote her to another “market”, albeit more sophisticated, to which she agrees. Thereafter there is no looking back for Muskaan, who is now known as Malika, and the sky is the limit, including avenging herself against her Arab husband, who sold her at the flesh market, with deadly results, as well as a chance at meeting the person who really runs India.

Sandhya (Raveena Tandon) has always dreamt of meeting her prince charming, a wealthy man, handsome, debonair, and dashing. She meets with Gopi (Govinda), who likes her instantly, and pretends to be the man of her dreams. Sandhya’s dreams are shattered when she comes to know that Gopi is poor. Nevertheless, she has given her heart to him, and both fall in love. Desperate brain cancer-ridden Caucasian, George States, with only six months to live, decides to capture a male cobra with hopes of obtaining ‘Nagmani’ from the shape shifting Naga female. For reasons that remain obscure throughout the film this will not only cure his brain cancer but also make him immortal. He hires workers in the jungles of Natchi, Tamil Nadu, who witness the intimacy of the cobras, capture the male allowing the female to escape. George then holds the male cobra in a glass cage hoping that the female cobra will attempt a rescue, and he will then release it in exchange for the Nagamani. The region experiences horror and religious awakening after the enraged female cobra, with the image of its oppressor in its eyes, sheds its snake-skin and takes on a female human form, setting out on its deadly mission of tracking down and destroying her mate’s oppressor, and whoever else gets in her way whether involved or not.

While returning home from the marriage of her friend, Ritu Pereira, Neha Verma, an air hostess, witnesses the brutal death of Superintendent of Police Jaidev Singh, at the hands of several persons. She accidentally drops her identification card, which is located by the police, and she is brought in for questioning. She is able to identify the killer, who turns out to be Samrat Singhania, the son of a prominent Minister in the state’s ruling party. While in Mauritius, Neha meets and falls in love with a young man named Vicky, and they have a quiet wedding ceremony. After the marriage, Neha comes to know that Vicky is not really who is says he is, but a killer who has been hired to prevent her from testifying against the Singhanias. A story about a group of ghosts who have lost their shelter due to urbanization. The story starts with a struggling wannabe director who somehow crosses paths with a stranger. The stranger starts to narrate a story to him about a group of ghosts that stays together. The story that the stranger narrates shows the communal, social, linguistic and historical differences among the ghosts, as they belong to different eras. But very soon these ghosts face an issue protecting their haunt from the hands of demolition.

After her husband, Baburam Yadav, travels to Bombay to try and re-pay his loan to the local money-lender, Lala Sukhilal, his wife, Laxmi, and three children Sheila, Shakti, and Shankar, are on the point of destitution. To make matters worse, they stop receiving any mail from their father for months. When Sukhilal finds out about their plight, he offers to look after Laxmi and be intimate with her, but she refuses, so he decides to take possession of the house and property, and does so with approval of the local Panchayat. Laxmi and her set forth to travel to Bombay to be with Baburam and a ride from a drunken truck driver, Tej Bahadur, who puts the children in the back of the truck and lets Laxmi sit next to him. When it starts raining heavily, Tej stops the truck, brutally beats and rapes Laxmi until she dies. He also heavily cuffs young Shankar into unconsciousness, leaving him with only his cigarette lighter and the license number of his truck. Years later, a grown up Shankar and Tej, who is now known as Tejaa, a criminal don, meet again – and this time it is Sheila that Tej would like to have his way with.
