Synopsis:
The film is a compendium of two linear story lines, related to the final plot. The first story line follows a documentary film crew who are out to debunk a rumor about a haunted house, while the other recounts the kidnapping of a rich businessman’s daughter. The connection between the two linear story lines is a classic, which is set in a worn down mansion located somewhere in the Karnataka countryside.
When a non-residing Indian(NRI) attempts to sell his ancestral property, he finds that it has a nasty reputation as a haunted house. In an attempt to improve his chances of a sale, he enlists the help of a documentary filmmaker, specializing in investigations of supernatural events. The TV crew also has some kind of spiritual adviser and a scientist with a machine that measures ghost activity. However, despite all their skepticism, the crew finds more than they bargained for in the abandoned house. In a plan to exorcise the spirit, they aim to return at a more auspicious time.
The second half of the story focuses on Thilak, a spoiled, rich kid who lives the high life; until he loses a large amount of money gambling. When his father (Devaraj) decides that enough is enough after hearing a fake need for more money from Tilak and refuses to bail him out. Anisha Ambrose is Thilak’s sister, tries to get her father to help Thilak, but is kidnapped and a ransom note sent to Devaraj. The kidnappers choose Thilak to deliver the ransom money and the directions he follows take him to an abandoned mansion somewhere in the Karnataka countryside. This is the same Raja bungalow that is haunted by a vengeful ghost, but Thilak is only concerned about finding his sister and isn’t too concerned about his surroundings. He also approaches the house from the back which looks much less creepy and isn’t quite as festooned with cobwebs as the front of the house either. Events conspire to leave Thilak, his sister and three friends stuck in the house overnight. As the house and it’s unknown inhabitant come alive, the friends find out the history of Raja bungalow. Will they last until morning? Is there a ghost? Who is the real villain in the film? These are what constitute the plot.

The political party heads such as BS Yediyurappa as Madivalappa played by Srinivasamurthy, BS Sriramulu of BSR Party played by Suchindra Prasad, Hanumanthe Gowda aping the newly inducted Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, Mico Nagaraj resembling former CM HD Kumaraswamy that is even with a young wife representing Radhika actress who married the former CM Kumaraswamy, there is a terror called Narasimha for whom law and order all at his foot plus trouble shooters from every political party to gain the political mileage are focused like a documentary by director Omprakash Rao.
With mayhem and kitsch at its helm the governor of Karnataka report to New Delhi for deputing a strong officer. That makes the strict disciplinarian Indira (Malashri) to take a flight to Bangalore.
Indira is given full powers and with five political party leaders she picks up five mind blowing action for the conduct of ‘Election’ in the state. When Indira hits at opponent they go flying, bounces, one of the big tormentors go flying and fix to a hard iron rod like a portrait put on a wall.
Never before and never after you would see an election commissioner of Indira status and strength in real life. The power given to this role is for the treat of front benchers and masses. Nothing works out like this in real life is a fact.
Malashri for the crown of ‘Action Queen’ she has earned it seems nothing is possible beyond this type of role. It is action throughout and ‘Dhandam Dashagunam’ style is not for such officers. She is like ‘Arnold’ of Kannada cinema. How much Malashri is fond of action portions one could see from this film! Malashri not dubbed for this film as the force and punch was needed very strongly.
All leading supporting characters tried aping the political personalities and they take the blows from ‘Election Commissioner Indira’.
N Omprakash Rao is known for this type of breezy action films has given the film in high speed and dashing nature for ‘Election Commissioner’ is truly cinematic representation.
Hamsalekha background score further adds to the force and sometime itching. Cameraman Rajesh Kata is tremendous in his work.
For the action lovers ‘Election’ is the right selection to watch.

Raj Malhotra (Bobby Deol) and Priya (Kareena Kapoor) meet by chance and fall in love. After marriage, they reside in Switzerland, where they meet an Indian couple: Vikram Bajaj (Akshay Kumar) and Sonia (Bipasha Basu). The couples quickly become friends and decide to go on a Christmas vacation to Mauritius.
All is well until Vikram begins to speak to Raj about wife swapping. This upsets Raj and a fight breaks out between them, and the four return home. A couple of days later, the two couples again become friends. On Vikram’s birthday, the two men get drunk and find themselves in each other’s house. The next morning Sonia is found dead, and Raj is accused of her murder. Raj manages to escape from court, and the Swiss police chase him. When he decides to confront Vikram, he finds the evidence to prove his innocence and win back his wife.

Middle-classed, slender and petite Jia Rao (Minissha Lamba) meets Gajner’s recently widowed Vikram Aditya Singh Sesodia (Dino Morea), both fall in love, get married, and re-locate to live in his palace in Rajasthan. Jia finds out that everyone in the vicinity still believes that Vikram’s first wife, Anamika (Koena Mitra), who allegedly met a sudden death, may still be alive, and actually witnesses an apparition in the palace grounds. She is not permitted to enter in to a certain section of the palace where Anamika had her residential quarters. However, she does manage to find her way there, and decides to follow in Anamika’s lavish and sophisticated footsteps, invoking a sudden change in Vikram affections. Meanwhile local Police Inspector Pratap, none other than Vikram’s brother-in-law, continues his investigation and collects evidence in order to arrest Vikram for Anamika’s death.
