Phantom is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Kabir Khan, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, and starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in leading roles.[2] The screenplay of the film was written in coordination with author Hussain Zaidi’s book Mumbai Avengers on the aftermath of 26/11 Mumbai attacks.[3] The film was released worldwide on 28 August 2015 to mixed reviews.[4]

The film begins with a car chase in Chicago, which leads to a scuffle between a man ostensibly named Jude Rosario and an American male known as Matthew Brody. The scuffle ends with Brody falling into the icy waters of Chicago River, and his body missing. This results in Rosario being arrested and convicted of murder.

A flashback to six months prior shows the office of the Indian RAW chief Roy (Sabyasachi Chakraborty), where he and his trusted men (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) plan a daring covert operation. The man, known as Jude Rosario in the opening sequence, is shown to be Captain Daniyal Khan, a dead-end ex-soldier with a completely deadpan sense of life and death who is pulled out of oblivion and pressed into service by the spy agency to wreak vengeance on the men who planned the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. He agrees on the assurance that he will be reinstated in the Indian army to the same rank from which he was court-martialled, which meant regaining the respect of his estranged father, retd. Col. Usman Khan, and mentor, Dilawar Singh. His only team member, Nawaz Mistry (Katrina Kaif) helps him find his first target Sajid Mir at a cricket match in London. On reaffirming his identity after breaking into his apartment, Daniyal rigs up an explosion which kills Sajid, which makes the headlines explaining it was accidental, resulting in an investigation by the Pakistani ISI.

In the present day, Daniyal aka Jude has landed in the same jail as David Headley, his next target. He contacts Nawaz in order to acquire money to buy a battery, as a replacement for another one which holds a certain poison. The poison, (succinylcholine), is untraceable as it can kill a person when it touches the tongue, causing a heart attack. After killing Headley by plugging the poisonous battery into a showerhead he usually uses, Brody, who supposedly died upon falling in the river, is found alive and Daniyal is released as his earlier sentence is rendered null and void. Meanwhile, ISI agents gather information about him.

Daniyal and Nawaz travel to Syria via Lebanon, to get in touch with the fighters of Lashkar-e-Toiba. There, Daniyal is held captive by the L-e-T and is forced into revealing the purpose of killing Sajid Mir and David Headley, on camera. The chief of L-e-T in Syria tries his best to send the video of Daniyal’s confession to ISI, but the war-torn situation of Syria has led to a mass disruption of communication networks. Nawaz, with her team of soldiers, kills the subordinates of L-e-T, much to the chagrin of Daniyal. Subsequently, Daniyal, Nawaz and the team escape from the clutches of the L-e-T after a bloody gunfight. Daniyal manages to kill the Syrian chief of L-e-T, just before he is about to send the video to the ISI, and destroys the recordings. Subsequently, the ISI kills the Indian Consulate General of Jordan, Mr. Rajan Sampath in a gas explosion, similar to the killing of Sajid Mir, as a revenge attack. The RAW chief Roy reprimands Daniyal for unnecessarily killing someone who was not meant to be killed and asks him to call off the mission. Nawaz encourages Daniyal to carry on the mission to avenge the 2008 Mumbai Attacks by killing the direct people who orchestrated the whole mission. She offers to take him and herself to Pakistan.

Daniyal and Nawaz, through Syria, go to Pakistan to take down the last two perpetrators, Sahabuddin Umvi and Haaris Saeed.

Stree (transl. Woman; Hindi pronunciation: [st̪ɾiː]) is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language comedy horror film directed by debutant Amar Kaushik in his directorial debut and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & D.K. It stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao alongside Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. The plot is inspired by the Bengaluru legend of the 80’s known as Oh Stree Naale Baa (transl. Oh woman, come tomorrow), about a spirit who knocks on people’s doors at night. It is one of the noted acting performances of lead actress Shraddha Kapoor’s career.

In late November 2017, Raj and DK approached Rao to star in the maiden production. As part of the preparation for his role of a tailor, Rao learned to sew. In December, Shraddha Kapoor was confirmed as the film’s female lead. Raj and DK brought on their First Assistant Director from Go Goa Gone, Amar Kaushik to direct the film in January 2018. Principal photography began on 13 January 2018 in Chanderi. Filming took place in Bhopal and Mumbai; the final schedule was completed in May 2018. The soundtrack was composed by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics written by Vayu, Badshah and Jigar Saraiya.

Stree had its theatrical release on 31 August 2018. It received high critical acclaim upon release especially for the performances of Kapoor, Rao and others. With earnings of over ₹180.76 crores against a budget of ₹20 crores, Stree emerged as a major critical and commercial success and one of the highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2018[8] The film received ten nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Kaushik, Best Actor for Rao, and Best Supporting Actor for Tripathi and Khurrana. It won Best Debut Director for Kaushik. The film is the first installment in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe followed by Roohi (2021) and Bhediya (2022).

The plot is based on the Indian folk legend about a witch who abducts men at night when they are alone and only leaves their clothes behind. The residents of a town named Chanderi believe in the spirit of an angry woman, referred to as “Stree”, who stalks men and whisks them away during the four days of a religious festival every year, causing many disappearances over the years. To protect the residents from her wrath, “O Stree, come tomorrow” is written in Hindi (ओ स्त्री, कल आना) with bat’s blood on the entrances of all homes and men are advised to not roam alone after 10 pm during the festive season, and move in groups for safety – a parallel of instructions women are usually told to follow for their own safety.

Vicky (Rajkummar Rao), a ladies’ tailor in Chanderi, mysteriously encounters Gayatri, a charming woman (Shraddha Kapoor) who only comes to the town during the annual Pooja season and falls in love with her at first sight. She asks him to stitch her a lahenga. Her frequent disappearances, her shopping list including peculiar items such as a lizard’s tail, white cat’s fur, flowers of Datura, meat, brandy and such like presumed to be ingredients for black magic and the fact that she is not seen by anybody except Vicky, makes his friend Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana) suspicious, and he starts believing that she could be Stree. After one of his friends, Janna (Abhishek Banerjee), is kidnapped by Stree, Vicky grows suspicious of the woman as well. He confronts her on which she disappears yet again.

Raja Bharmal announces that his son Bhagwant Das would be his heir and Sujamal (Sonu Sood), Jodhaa’s cousin, whom she wants to be the king’s heir instead of Bhagwant Das, will have to work under him. Sujamal, who is deprived of his rightful throne, angrily leaves the kingdom to join rebels. When the Mughal Emperor Akbar (Hrithik Roshan) plans to attack Amer, Raja Bharmal reluctantly makes a peace offering, proposing to strengthen relations by his daughter’s marriage to the emperor himself to avoid war. Akbar agrees to the marriage, as it would bring forward a true strong alliance and long lasting peace between the Mughals and Rajputs. But, this breaks the alliance of Raja Bharmal with the other kings of Rajputana, including Rana Uday Singh. Jodhaa completely resents being reduced to a mere political pawn as she wants to marry Ratan Singh. She writes a letter to Sujamal, entreating him to come rescue her from the marriage, but doesn’t send it. Jodhaa shares all her misery with her mother, who tells her to send a servant girl in her place.

Jodhaa replies that it would deceive Akbar and would be death to their kingdom if he finds out. Her mother gives her a vial of poison and tells her to use it if a need arises. Jodhaa demands a meeting with Akbar and demands to keep her Hindu religion after marriage, and that a temple be built for her to continue her faith,[10] with the intention of having the emperor call off the wedding. To her surprise, Akbar agrees to all her demands. After their marriage, Jodhaa acts reluctant with Akbar and they do not consummate their marriage. He assures Jodhaa that they will let things fall into place. Over time, both Jodhaa and Akbar learn from and gain admiration for each other.

Akbar’s nurse and nanny, Maham Anga, whom he loves like his own mother, despises Jodhaa and conspires to humiliate her in front of Akbar. She finds the letter Jodhaa had written and has it sent, and when Sujamal comes to meet Jodhaa in private, she insinuates to Akbar that Jodhaa went to meet her lover. Akbar sends his men to arrest Sujamal, who thinks Jodhaa has framed him, and immediately flees. Akbar is enraged and banishes Jodhaa. Jodhaa doesn’t give an explanation, indignant at her character being questioned.

Krrish (Hindi pronunciation: [krɪʃ]) is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language superhero film directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra while Naseeruddin Shah, Rekha, Manini Mishra, Archana Puran Singh and Sharat Saxena feature in supporting roles. It is the second installment in the Krrish franchise, being the sequel to Koi… Mil Gaya, and relates the story of Krishna, the son of the previous film’s protagonists, who inherits his father’s superhuman abilities. After falling in love with Priya, he follows her to Singapore, where he takes on the persona of “Krrish” to keep his identity secret while saving children from a burning circus. From that moment on, he is regarded as a superhero, and must later thwart the plans of the evil Dr. Arya, who has a connection to Krishna’s father, Rohit, the protagonist of the previous film.

Krrish was conceived to be a film of global significance and a trendsetter in Indian cinema, with visual effects on par with those from Hollywood. To that end, the effects team was aided by Hollywood’s Marc Kolbe and Craig Mumma, and the stunts were choreographed by Chinese martial arts film expert Tony Ching. The music was composed by Rajesh Roshan, with the background score by Salim-Sulaiman. Filming was done to a large extent in Singapore as well as India.

The film was released worldwide on 23 June 2006 at a budget of ₹40 crore[1] and on 1000 prints, both near-record amounts for an Indian film at the time. Krrish received mixed reviews from critics in India, but got a record opening week at the box office. A blockbuster, Krrish grossed a worldwide total of ₹126 crore,[2] becoming the third highest-grossing Indian film of 2006.

Krrish received 8 nominations at the 52nd Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor for Roshan and Best Supporting Actress for Rekha, and won 3, including Best Special Effects. At the 2007 IIFA Awards, the film received 9 nominations and won 3, including Best Actor for Roshan. It also won the National Film Award for Best Special Effects. Krrish was the first Indian film to be shot in Singapore under the Singapore Tourism Board’s Film-in-Singapore subsidy scheme, and over 60% of the film was shot there.[15] Shooting was accomplished on location over a span of 2 months, from September to November 2005.[16] Locations featured included the Singapore Zoo, the Gateway building, and the Singapore National Library.[17] Another major filming location was Robinson Road, where heavy rains caused production delays.[18] The Singapore police were on location to block roads and protect the filming equipment,[18] such as when the film’s action scenes required two 250-foot high industrial cranes.[13] Author Audrey Yue noted that the film shoot benefited Singapore by leading to domestic and Indian film-induced tourism.[15]

Filming also took place in Manali and Film City in Mumbai.[19] During filming of a flying stunt, one of the wires that was tied to Hrithik Roshan broke, causing him to fall 50 feet, though he landed safely on a shop’s canopy.[20] Hrithik described the incident as a “freak accident”, stating, “I was skydiving to my death till I fell on a six-feet-long canopy of a shop that was out because of the slight drizzle. The canopy had iron rods. But I missed those rods too. What do I say? I guess the right word to describe the situation would be jadoo (magic).”[20] Roshan also suffered other injuries during the film’s production. He tore the hamstring in his right leg during a circus scene, singed his hair while running through fire in another action scene, and broke his thumb and toe during strenuous training for the wirework.[21]

Mohenjo Daro is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language period action-adventure film[4] written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.[5][6][7] It is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur for UTV Motion Pictures and Sunita Gowariker for Ashutosh Gowariker Productions (AGPPL),[8] and features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. It is a cinematic presentation based on the ancient Indus Valley civilization,[9] and its city Mohenjo-daro, a UNESCO World Heritage site.[10]

Set in 2016 BC at the height of Indus Valley Civilization,[11][12] the story follows a farmer Sarman (Hrithik Roshan) who travels to the city of Mohenjo Daro and falls in love with a high-status woman (Hegde), and who must then challenge the city’s elite, and fight against overwhelming odds to save their civilization. Gowariker took over three years to research and develop the script, working closely with archaeologists to ensure authenticity in the representation of his fictional story.[13] The film was shot in Bhuj and Mumbai with brief schedules in Bhedaghat (Jabalpur) and Thane.

The score and soundtrack are composed by A. R. Rahman[14] with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar.[15] The film was released worldwide on 12 August 2016 to generally mixed or negative reviews from critics,[16][17][18][19] and is considered to be a major box office flop.[20]

Mohenjo Daro marks the last film production of UTV Motion Pictures, as after the film, there are only two Disney releases, Dangal and Jagga Jasoos, which marked producer Kapur’s final projects under Disney-UTV before his contract with the company lapsed on 1 January 2017.

Sarman kills a crocodile that has been terrorizing his village’s fishermen and is hailed as a hero. He asks his uncle, Durjan (Nitish Bharadwaj), to allow him to go to Mohenjo Daro to trade their family’s goods, but his uncle refuses. Sarman attempts to sneak away to the city at night with his friend Hojo (Umang Vyas), but is caught by Durjan, who relents and allows both friends to go. He gives Sarman a seal that contains an inscription of a unicorn that Sarman often sees in his dreams, suggesting he use it only once in a life or death situation.

Arriving in Mohenjo Daro, Sarman learns that the city is ruled by the tyrannical Senate Chief Maham (Kabir Bedi) and his wicked son Moonja (Arunoday Singh). He also learns that the unicorn he sees in his dreams is the symbol of the city, and feels as if the city is oddly familiar to him. While Sarman is trading, Maham proposes to impose an additional tax on the farmers so that the city may grow, but Sarman leads the farmers to oppose the taxes so that their families don’t starve to death. Sarman gains access to the upper city by showing his uncle’s amulet and meets Chaani (Pooja Hegde), the elegant and gorgeous daughter of the head priest (Manish Choudhary) Mohenjo Daro. Sarman is enchanted by Chaani’s heavenly beauty and charm and falls in love with her. Upon meeting, the head priest strangely appears to recognize Sarman. Chaani reveals that she has been forcibly betrothed to Moonja, Sarman’s enemy, who is cruel and ruthless. Maham discovers Sarman and Chaani love each other and that Sarman is the leader of the tax revolt, and so he challenges Sarman to fight Bakar and Zokar, his two champions. Sarman proposes that if he wins, Chaani will be released from her engagement, and Maham accepts the terms.

On the night before Sarman’s clash with Bakar and Zokar, the head priest reveals to him how Maham was expelled from Harappa for illegal trade with the Sumerians. Maham entered Mohenjo Daro as a trader and quickly rose to become the trade chief. Maham had discovered that the mighty Sindhu River held vast gold deposits, so he decided to place a dam on the river and divert its course to mine the gold. The wise Senate Chief Srujan (Sharad Kelkar), who is revealed to be Sarman’s father, opposed this, but Maham won the vote to build the dam.

After a treaty between India and the United Kingdom to expedite extradition of terrorist Omar Zafar (Danny Denzongpa) to India is passed, Col. Viren Nanda (Jimmy Shergill) is murdered and burnt alive by Omar in London. Omar, who is escorted by his trusted lieutenant Hamid Gul (Javed Jaffrey), declares a $5 million reward for an Indian thief to steal the Koh-i-Noor diamond, so as to hold up the treaty. Later, a mysterious man named Rajveer Nanda (Hrithik Roshan) steals it, and demands $20 million as Zafar and Gul aim to retrieve it. After a subsequent brawl with Gul’s men at a local restaurant in Shimla, Rajveer visits a restaurant where he meets an ambitious but unassuming bank receptionist, Harleen Sahni (Katrina Kaif), who is waiting for her blind internet date, “Vickie Kapoor”, to show up. Rajveer assumes the date, and the pair fall in love, but he is forced to abandon her after being found by Gul’s surviving men. Harleen leaves upon learning the truth, but on her way back home, bumps again into Rajveer, who seeks her help to remove a bullet. Before leaving, he drugs her and informs her of scare tactics that some law enforcement officials will use to try and coerce her into working against him.

The next day, indeed as Rajveer had foretold, government agent Zorawar Kalra (Pawan Malhotra) and his informer, Inspector Bhola (Pradeep Kabra), implore Harleen to travel with them to the Police Station, but instead head for a “safe place” ; taking note of Rajveer’s instructions, she finds a pistol and holds them at gunpoint. Rajveer soon appears and the pair escape, but meet Harleen’s manager, Karan Saxena, who Rajveer shoots in the leg. Harleen, preturbed, demands that she return home, having made a huge mistake by trusting him, which leads to an argument over their loyalties, but she eventually decides to stay upon realizing that he lierally intends to protect her, and proceeds to accompany him. Rajveer later reveals during a visit to a Pizza Hut outlet that he stole the Koh-i-Noor, much to Harleen’s surprise, and the pair are immediately confronted by Zorawar and his team, who had been following the duo. Rajveer shoots Harleen with a tranquilizer dart and they escape, with Harleen later waking up at a beach shack after an unknown period on the run. After she takes Rajveer’s phone to call her grandmother, which allows government officials and subsequently Gul’s men, led by his lieutenant Robert (Partha Akerkar), to track them, a shootout ensues, which forces the duo to escape again after eliminating the officials and Robert’s henchmen.

A remake of the Telugu film Parugu, it was released on 23 May 2014[1] to strong collections at the box office.

Plot
Suraj Singh Chaudhary is a very strict patriarch of the Jat family from Haryana and is a well-respected leader in his village and brothers. When Renu, Chaudhary’s elder daughter, elopes with her boyfriend, Rakesh, on the night of her marriage, Chaudhary decides to find them at any cost. Chaudhary and his men round up Rakesh’s friends, including Bablu, and hold them captive till they tell of the couple’s whereabouts. They say to him that they do not know anything, but no one believes them. Meanwhile, Bablu tells his friends that he is in love with a girl of that town, whom he does not know, and he only has her dropped earring as a clue. The friends manage to escape one day, but Bablu gets a glimpse of the girl and stops in his tracks, and the boys are caught because of him.

Meanwhile, Chaudhary’s younger daughter and Renu’s sister, Dimpy, find Renu’s love letters and tries to get rid of them, but the letters accidentally end up in the hands of Bablu and his friends. Bablu uses them as leverage and gets Dimpy to help him find the girl he loves in exchange for her sister’s location. That night, Bablu escapes and enters the house during a blackout, then ends up drunk. Dimpy finds Bablu, and he gives her the earring he discovered that belongs to the girl he fell in love with. She realizes that the girl Bablu saw was none other than Dimpy, but she stays silent. When Chaudhary’s men locate Renu and Rakesh, Bablu helps them escape and board a bus without detection. When his friends confront him about his deceit, Bablu defends himself, which Dimpy overhears. She inadvertently reveals this to her uncle, who demands that she identify who helped Rakesh and Renu elope. They figure out that it was Bablu, and he tells them they are in Delhi when they threaten to kill his friends.

Bablu and his friends and Dimpy accompany her father and his men to Delhi to find the couple. At this juncture, Dimpy is kidnapped by some local goons, who attempt to rape her. Bablu manages to locate her in time and beats up the goons, winning Chaudhary’s trust. In the morning, while Dimpy confesses her love to Bablu, Chaudhary spots Renu and Rakesh and chases after them, with Bablu and Chaudhary’s men following close behind. They manage to catch up to them, but when Renu talks back to her father, Chaudhary is heartbroken. When Renu and Rakesh are about to be killed as punishment, Renu confesses that she is pregnant. Chaudhary decides to spare their lives, but at a cost – openly claiming that Renu is no more to him.

The group returns home, and Chaudhary arranges Dimpy’s marriage with Rajjo. Bablu realizes that he misses Dimpy too much. He and his friends return for the wedding to get Dimpy to elope with Bablu. However, Chaudhary is frightened when Bablu returns after finding out about Dimpy and Bablu’s love. He keeps a close eye on Bablu and Dimpy. When Chaudhary confronts Bablu, Bablu tells him that he understands how Chaudhary felt when Renu ran away from home and promised him that he would not elope with Dimpy.

When Bablu and his friends are about to leave, Rajjo arrives & beats up Bablu, but Bablu fights back and defeats him when Rajjo insults Bablu and Dimpy. They are, however, stopped at the last moment by Chaudhary. He realizes that Dimpy will only be happy if she is with Bablu and lets Bablu and Dimpy reunite.
