Adam, a farmer from the village of Minta, receives a letter from his son Sol, who is working in London and sends him £100. Adam attempts to cash the money order in Dark Poor but is asked for an identity card, which he doesn’t have. He goes to the Ministry of the Interior, gets his application form for an identity card, and tries to get his photographs taken but encounters difficulties. Adam gets into a fight with a photographer and is accused of theft. Later, with the help of the schoolteacher, he visits Mr. Sheth, who informs him that the money order is worthless but offers to help.
