Gadar 2 is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language period action drama film directed and produced by Anil Sharma, and written by Shaktimaan Talwar. A sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their roles from the first film. In the film, Tara Singh returns to Pakistan in order to rescue his imprisoned son during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
Gadar 2 was theatrically released on 11 August 2023. The film has grossed over ₹525 crore (US$66 million) worldwide, emerging as the year’s second highest-grossing Hindi and third highest-grossing Indian film
