Story:
A young reverend and his wife are on the way from England to Australia to minister to their flock. The bishop asks him to visit an eccentric artist prone to sexual depictions and requests that he voluntarily withdraw a controversial work call “Crucified Venus” from his show. The minister, who considers himself a progressive, is shocked at the amoral atmosphere surrounding the painter, his wife, and the three models living at his estate. The minister’s wife is troubled also, and has to deal with latent sexual urges while trying to remain loyal to her husband.

“This is supposed to be a comedy but I found myself transfixed by the stunning cinematography and beautiful bodies more than anything else. Sam Neill’s bevy of beautiful nude models, headed by Elle Macpherson, nearly steal the show. Hugh Grant is surprisingly convincing in his role as the prudish minister and Tara Fitzgerald is equally convincing as his almost-as-prudish wife. Watching this movie without an open mind towards sex or a joyful sense of humor surely will be annoying. So fundamentalist Christians and other prudes shouldn’t bother. Review:
This movie sure hit the spot when it comes to teens having to figure life out. The troubles with school, friends, love, parents and learning to deal with loss of a loved one. So many teens can relate to this. All the actors portrayed their roles so well. As a parent it’s hard to realize no matter how hard it is to try to teach or prepare your child they will still have their own ideas and paths to follow. I was in Tijuana Mexico last year in 2012, A friend and I stop to see this movie, We both had an amazing experience looking at it. We both cried and it will make you think of the time you last meet that person you fell for. I did and so did my friend. What an amazing experience, I will remember it as long as I live. I plan to go to see the Citys in Mexico because it touched are hearts in a very special way. I hope it make it to the USA-Los Angeles. I laugh and I cried like I was in the movie in love all over again. A MUST GO SEE. The cast of people in the movie are very good I hope you find it in your city or look for it in the movie or try to find it on DVD. Written by secceo

Storyline:

Helpless and in need of protection, the townsfolk hire the renowned town tamer Clay Blaisdell, as unofficial Marshal, to bring law and order to the town. Clay arrives with his good friend and backup Tom Morgan. The two men stand up to the ranch gang and quiet the town. Johnny Gannon, a former member of the ranch gang is bothered by the gang’s actions, reforms and takes on the deputy Sherrif job while his brother remains part of the gang. The addition of the official lawman to the mix further complicate matters, leading to an inevitable clash of the cowboys, the townsfolk, the gunslingers and the law.

Review:
This is one of those little known westerns that captivates you from the opening scene. It has everything you want in this genre of film: a great story, excellent characters, excellent actors and beautiful scenery & music. I’d never seen this movie and came across it while checking out the cable guide and was attracted to the title because I’m a sci-fi/horror lover. I didn’t know it was a western. When I flipped it on, I noticed what kind of movie it was and almost changed the channel when I spotted DeForrest Kelly of Star Trek fame (I’m a devout Trekker). Then I saw Richard Widmark & Henry Fonda and just stayed tuned. I was taken my this flick and recommend it to anyone. I caught it in the middle so when it was over, I immediately went to the cable guide and searched for when it would be on again and made sure I watched it from beginning to end. WHAT A GREAT MOVIE! I also just ordered the VHS tape from Amazon.com. Definitely a MUST-SEE!!! Written by cdipatri.
