✔️ Synopsis :-
After a cyclonic storm lashes Tamil Nadu a crocodile about to lay her eggs finds refuge in a forest near a coastal village. Ramu who lives in that village is considered strange because he loves animals and roams the forest to befriend them. He discovers the pregnant crocodile and watches her prepare her nest and lay the eggs. He is enthralled by the tender care with which she looks after her young ones. When the scared villagers discover the crocodile they try to kill her. Ramu and his sister desperately try to save her without much success. Will Ramu fight the odds and suspecting villagers to save the crocodile and her children ? This beautifully shot film inspires the love of nature and its inhabitants.

? Director’s Biography : Romulus Whitaker
Romulus Whitaker born in 1943 in New York has settled in India as an Indian citizen. He and his wife live in the outskirts of Madras running a Crocodile Bank as their primary activity. Whitaker is an internationally acclaimed herpetologist noted for his pioneering work among snakes and crocodiles and the snake catching Irula tribe in Tamil Nadu. He has collaborated widely with film makers in India and abroad on films dealing with natural history ‘ Cooperative for Snake catchers ’ with Shekar Dattatri which won the 1988 National Award for the best scientific film. ‘The Boy And The Crocodile’ is his first feature film.

Synopsis : Amulya’s grandmother Janakamma is a farmer and a traditional healer. She comes to live with Amulya and her parents in the city but is insulted by Amulya’s modern parents for her traditional ways of life. Humiliated Janakamma decides to return to her village. Amulya despite being a kid understands her grandmother and struggles to protect her dignity and self respect eroded by the pace of life and changing values of her modern parents. When nothing works Amulya follows her grandmother to the village without telling her parents. Will she succeed in reaching out to adults who have forgotten their age old wisdom ?
Director’s Biography : Akkineni Kutumba Rao
Akkineni Kutumba Rao is a prolific filmmaker and writer who has many novels and short stories to his credit. His film ‘ Bhadram Koduko ’ won the National Award for the Best Regional film in 1991. His films ‘ Thodu ’ and ‘ Patha Nagaramlo Pasivadu ’ have won state awards in various categories. Besides films he has also directed many television serials and telefilms in Telugu for Hyderabad Doordarshan. He has also made a Hindi TV serial ‘ Manayi ’. His feature film ‘ Gulabeelu ’ ( Roses, 2005 ) premiered at the 14th Golden Elephant Film Festival in 2005.

Keshu Is An Indian Children’s Film Directed By Sivan. The Film Won By Best Children’s Film Award At The 57Th National Film Awards. It Also Won The Kerala State Film Award For Best Children’s Film Of 2009
“ Where There Is Love, There Is Life ” – Mahatma Gandhi

Synopsis : Keshu ( Navneet Krishnan ) Is A Deaf And Dumb Boy Who Lost His Mother When He Was Born. He Was Raised By His Maternal Uncle ( Kaladharan ) And Wife ( Lakshmi Krishnamoorty ). Being Mischievous There Were Many Complaints Against Keshu By The Villagers. His Uncle Kept Punishing Him But To No Avail. The Only Person Who Keshu Could Find Solace Was His Distant Relative And The Maid Of The House Devu ( Amala ). Then Shalini ( Priyanka Nair ) A Drawing Teacher Transferred To That Village Started Living With The Family. Keshu Did Not Spare Her From His Mischief But She Did Not Complain To Anyone And Instead Started Liking Keshu. He Reciprocated The Affection Shown To Him And There Was A Gradual Change In His Behaviour. She Encouraged Him To Take Up Drawing And Even Convinced His Uncle To Enroll Him In A Special School For The Deaf And The Dumb. Keshu Wins An International Award For His Painting – The Elephant And The Mahout And Become The Darling Of The Whole Village. The End Of The Happy Chapter Came As A Letter To Shalini Informing That Her Marriage Is Fixed . Her Return Was A Torment To Keshu. His Family As Well As Shalini. Whenever The Train In Which Shalini Left, Passed By, He Made It A Habit To Wait At The Railway Station. The Sound Of The Train Tearing Away The Darkness Tore His Heart As Well. Keshu Remained Sad And Desperate For Her Return For Days But Eventually Realised That She Will Not Come Back. He Realises The Folly Of Hoping For A Return Of Someone. He Asked His Uncle To Take Him Back To His School And His Uncle Took Him Back To His World Of Colours And Drawings.
Director’s Biography : Sivan
Sivan Began His Illustrious Career As A Photo – Journalist Contributing To Magazines Such As Newsweek, Life And Span. He Learnt The Rudiments Of Film Making As A Staffer With The Usis. He Is Credited With Making The First 16 MM Film In India “ Labour Week ” In 1953. From 1972 Onwards Sivan Has Made A Series Of Films That Have Won Him Awards And Recognition. Sivan Founded The Film Complex “ Sivan Studios ” In Kerala Which Has Extended To An Art Gallery For Emerging Artistes And Photographers. “ Swapnam ” Made In 1972 Was His First Feature Film Which Won 4 State Awards And His Second Feature “ Yogum ” Was As Successful. His Earlier Children’s Film “ Abhayam ” Had Won Silver Elephant Award At The International Children’s Film Festival, Trivandrum In 1991.

Synopsis : Kids in an orphanage run by a rich patron are maltreated by those who run the place. The warden, the cook and the other caretakers make life unbearable for them. Distressed at this treatment and realizing that no help will come to them the kids decide to run away and find the patron and inform him of the truth. On the way they encounter challenges in the shape of wild monkeys, thieves and kidnappers. Can the little kids manage to put their wits to good use and succeed in their goal ? This adventurous film attempts to impress upon kids that often self help is the best help and that courage can overcome any odds.
Director’s Biography : Vadiraj
Vadiraj started his career as actor in Kannada and Tamil theatre acting in over 1500 stage shows. He debuted in films in 1954 with ‘ Kokilavani ’ and acted in over 75 Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. He turned producer in 1962 and has produced 14 Kannada films many of which have won state and national awards. ‘ Navajivana ’ and ‘ Naandi ’ both produced by him in 1964 won National Awards. He turned director in 1979 and directed five Kannada films. He served on several state and national award juries. He died in 2004.

Synopsis : Eleven year old Foto has a strong imagination and lives in his own world of fantasy. Other kids consider him strange since he does not interact with them. One day a film unit comes to his hilly town to shoot. Foto is mesmerized to see the magicians create rain and lightening, image and colour, and sound and music at their will. It is as if his fantasy is the reality of these magicians as a new world full of thrills, adventure and discovery opens up for him. But will he be able to reconcile his world of imagination with this real fantasy ? The film won the Best Children’s Film award at the National Film Awards, 2007
Director’s Biography : Virendra Saini
Director & cinematographer Virendra Saini graduated from FTII with a diploma in cinematography in 1976. He has been intimately and consistently connected with the New Cinema Movement in India working for both feature films and full length documentaries with several major directors including Mani Kaul, Saeed Mirza, Sai Paranjpye, Kundan Shah, Vinod Chopra and Bhimsain. In 1990 he won the National award for Best Cinematography for the film Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro. In 1999 he directed his first feature film Kabhi Pass Kabhi Fail produced by CFSI which won the National Award for the Best Children’s Film.

Synopsis : A king looking for the map of a hidden treasure finds it in the back of a framed picture in grandmothers home. Realizing that some unscrupulous people are also in search of the map he tears it into two giving one to her for safekeeping. She hides it in her old gramophone box unaware that a dacoit is watching her. She gets kidnapped and her grandsons try to find her even as the king’s wicked cousin hires a magician to find the location of the map. Will grandmother be rescued and does the treasure fall in the wrong hands ? This magical ride through a wondrous land won multiple awards at the Moscow Film Festival, 1981.
Director’s Biography : Parvati Menon
After completing a degree in Law Parvati Menon decided to make her career in films instead and became one of the first students at the newly instituted FTII in the 1960s. A prolific director Parvati’s main concern in cinema has been children. She has taught, researched and written about cinema, while also writing, directing and producing many feature, documentary and short films. She has served as jury for many film festivals worldwide.

Synopsis : Ganesh, Yashwant, Dilip, Ulhas and Birbal the Dog and Badshah the Monkey are spending their summer vacation playing and roaming in their quiet coastal town. Don is actually a smuggler and when Ganesh’s innocent school master father gets unwittingly trapped in his web the six friends have to pull up their detective hats and work together to unearth the mystery. But are the children capable of dealing with the cunning of an experienced, tricky smuggler and would they be able to save Ganesh’s father in this exciting children’s thriller?
Director’s Biography : Sridhar Rangayan
Activist, writer and filmmaker Sridhar Rangayan studied in IIT, Bombay. He worked in different sectors before doing a film appreciation course at FTII . He then interned with Sai Paranjpye on the film ‘Papeeha’ and TV series ‘Hum Panchi Ek Chal Ke’ and with Dev Benegal on his film ‘English August’. He has been associated in the writing and direction of many TV series including Kalpana Lajmi’s ‘The Awakening’ for Doordarshan, ‘Rishtey’ and ‘Gubbare’ for Zee TV and ‘Kagaar’ for Sahara. ‘Yeh Hai Chakkad Bakkad Bumbe Bo’ was his first feature film. His other films include ‘Yours Emotionally’ and ’68 Pages’.
