Balu (Vennela Kishore) falls in love with Swapna (Pavani) and her father Chakravarthy (Raghu Babu), a strict disciplinarian, agrees to their marriage. On the day of their engagement, Balu’s friend Surya (Surya), drags a reluctant Balu to Lord Ganesh’s temple. Balu is afraid that Chakravarthy may cancel the engagement if he is late. So he insists with Surya that they leave the temple. In the ensuing argument between them, Balu ends up insulting Lord Ganesha. Ganesha’s mount is enraged and sends a mouse (Brahmanandam) to teach Balu a lesson. The mouse wreaks havoc in the lives of Balu and Swapna.

Ramesh, nicknamed Rummy loves his childhood friend Janaki, who asks him to become rich and powerful before marrying her. With this motive, Rummy starts gambling and becomes rich in no time.
ACP Sekhar notice his activities and attempts to catch him. Rummy moves to Goa where he meets Chandra, a pub owner who also runs gambling. Both of them make a deal. While on the task, Rummy rescues Sara from Victor. Sara’s sister Nadia falls in love with him. Another woman, Sandhya, enters his life. She helps him in his task. Meanwhile, differences arise between Rummy and Chandra, and they become rivals. How Rummy encounters the situation with Janaki forms the rest of the story
