Mohanlal is a cameraman of international repute having served with such names as Reuters and BBC. Having been away from homeland for a while, Mohanlal drops in at Kerala on an assignment where he gets to meets Amala Paul. Amala Paul works as a senior editor at Bharath Vision television channel and Mohanlal and Amala Paul have a story to tell of their own. Mohanlal shares camaraderie with Biju Menon who happens to be his best buddy as well as the head of a local television channel that is struggling to stand on its own. Despite their differences after their earlier breakup, Mohanlal and Amala are forced by circumstances to work together again for a secret assignment. The aftermath is the rest of the narration.
