Pandiyan is a 1992 action Tamil language movie directed by the Tamil director SP. Muthuraman. It stars Rajinikanth, Kushboo, Janagaraj and Jayasudha in the lead roles. It was released on October 25, 1992. Its music was composed by Ilayaraja. The film released to largely negative reviews and was a rare box office disaster for a Rajinikanth movie.
The film was a remake of the Kannada film Bombay Dada starring Tiger Prabhakar, Vani Vishwanath, Vajramuni and Lakshmi. Prabhakar, the director and hero of the Kannada film, portrayed the negative role in the Tamil version.
In this movie, Superstar Rajini was called “Mr.Right” and all his t.shirts in this movie had the “tick” symbol. There was a short sensation among Rajini fans during this time as they used to flock to the tailor shops to put a “tick” mark embroidary on their shirts.
The film is about Paandiyan (Rajinikanth) who wants to avenge the death of his sister’s (Jayasudha) husband (Charan Raj), who was a police inspector. He would have been killed by Prabhakar and atlast Rajini kills him.

Kamal Haasan along with his group of friends: Vijayakumar, Srikanth, Jaiganesh, Ravichandran go to a forest. Kamal is a researcher who studies about the behaviour of snakes (Ichadhari), a kind of snake which takes humanoid form. One of his friend kills the beloved of the serpent, Sripriya, despite the intervention of Kamal. Initially all the other friends ignore Kamal without knowing the seriousness. They all leave the village and the female serpent (Sripriya) vows to avenge for the death of her beloved. She kills all the five friends of Kamal in disguise at some instance and at the end she disguises as latha (Kamal’s love interest) to in order to kill him. In the end Sripriya gets killed and Kamal reunites with Latha and the child of Srikanth.

Kalvanin Kaadhali is a 2006 Indian Tamil film written and directed by newcomer Thamilvaanan, who had worked as assistant to director Ezhil. The film stars S. J. Suryaah and Nayanthara in lead roles with Pyramid Natarajan, Vivek and Ganja Karuppu essaying supporting roles. It is notably, Suryah’s first film as the hero, which hasn’t been directed by himself. The film was a high-budget production, the soundtrack and film score of which were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, which were considered the highlight and as a great hit, especially the soundtrack. This love story is set in the backdrop of a playboy’s tricks. The film released in February 17, 2006 enjoying relative success and was later dubbed into Telugu and released as Chilipi.
