About the Director & Producer
Dilip Deo is a renowned Film Editor turned Director and Madhumita Roy is a Company Secretary turned Independent Film Producer; coming from outside the film background & Film families. Unwanted is their maiden production, and its solely made with their savings and credit that exhausted them completely. The film was completed in Oct. 2018 only got delayed in release due to obstacles. They conducted Film Making Workshops in twelve districts of Jharkhand with a mission to share and educate local artists and technicians about basics and nuances of making of Film and Video contents.

अनवांटेड को विभिन्न स्थानीय भाषाओं जैसे नागपुरी, संथाली, खोरठा, हो/मुंडारी, भोजपुरी, बंगाली, उड़िया, छत्तीसगढ़ी आदि में बनाने की योजना है। यह अवसर संबंधित भाषाओं के कई स्थानीय कलाकारों और तकनीशियनों के लिए लॉन्चिंग पैड होगा। यहाँ तक निर्देशक से लेकर छोटे कलाकारों तक, पूरी टीम अलग होगी। आगे की जानकारी के लिए चैनल को सब्सक्राइब कर लें।
Unwanted is going to be made in various local languages like Nagpuri, Santhali, Khortha, Ho/Mundari, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Odiya, Chhattisgarhi etc. launching a numbers of local artists and technicians of respective languages.
About the Film/Synopsis
Unwanted is the story inspired by true events set in a historical village in Kushinagar, India, the Nirvana place of Lord Buddha. Mangal is a special child and lone heir of his family who has been the ardent follower of non-violence taught by Lord Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi. He wants to become smart like a Bollywood film star so that he can marry his girl friend Basanti, but she is in love with another friend Lallan.
Mangal has a bigger problem in his life to be dealt with. The villagers announce him dead on the basis of a death certificate, making him a ‘Living Dead’ and ‘Unwanted’.
What will he do now?
Will he be declared alive again?
Will he get his love back?
Will he become smart like the Bollywood film star?
Or, Will he kill Lallan or be killed by Lallan?
