Asha lives a poor lifestyle along with her widowed dad, is in love with aspiring doctor Raj Kumar, and hopes to marry him someday. Raj shifts to abroad for his further studies promising Asha that he would return back and marry her. But Asha father get her married to his friends son Shyamlal before he would die. Asha moves on in life and gives birth to three lovely children. To Asha and Shyamlal’s bad luck, their daughter Bulbul is born with a hole in the heart.
