【Synopsis】On the eve of the Revolution of 1911, the treasure left by the eminent monk Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty, the “Hundred Gold Clouds and Water Mocha cassock”, appeared in the Mogao Grottoes. Immediately, various forces gathered in Dunhuang, each carrying a different purpose to find the treasure cassock. Rongqing, the minister of the school, recommended Yao Kun, a student of the Hanlin Academy, to go to Dunhuang to find Xuanzang’s cassock, hoping to use the magic power of the treasure to save the precarious Qing Dynasty. Yao Kun and his cousin, Xia Zifeng, an antique dealer, disguised themselves as merchants and went to the desert.
