Shardul Thakur is a police officer whose widowed mother pesters him to get married. On the other hand, Suman Singh, also known as Sumi, is a physical education teacher who meets a woman on a lesbian dating app. The woman from the app requests Sumi to meet her in a café – to which she agrees. On reaching the café, Sumi realizes that she was chatting with a boy all along. Afraid, Sumi leaves the place but the boy continues following her and keeps on threatening her about her sexual orientation. Fed up with his blackmail, Sumi reports it to Shardul, who works in a women’s police station. Shardul meets Sumi and tells her that the boy from the dating app has been warned. He immediately asks Sumi to marry him, saying that he is gay himself. He wants to marry her only to get free from their family’s pressure on them to get married. Sumi accepts the deal and they both get married.
