When Rick Martin (Sterling Hayden) goes back to his hometown to warn the townspeople of an imminent attack by marauders, he finds he has been exiled due to his reputation as a gunslinger for hire. Martin discovers that his late mother had been cheated out of her homestead by Canby Judd (William Bishop), who is now affianced to Martin’s childhood sweetheart, Laura Mead (Karin Booth). Martin must clear his tarnished name, bring Judd to justice and save the town from the marauders.
