Released in 1972, The Godfather is a movie about the Italian Mafia which stars Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone, the head of the Corleone family. The movie also stars Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, Vito’s youngest son.
The story is mostly set in New York City during the years 1945-1955 and it depicts conflicts that the Corleone family has with other crime families. The movie also focuses on Michael’s transformation from not wanting to be part of his family’s criminal activities to becoming a ruthless mafia boss.
