Released in 1972, The Godfather is a movie about the Italian Mafia which stars Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone, the head of the Corleone family. The movie also stars Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, Vito’s youngest son.

The story is mostly set in New York City during the years 1945-1955 and it depicts conflicts that the Corleone family has with other crime families. The movie also focuses on Michael’s transformation from not wanting to be part of his family’s criminal activities to becoming a ruthless mafia boss. Today we’ve selected two scenes from this iconic movie for you to learn English with.

Today we’re learning English with Uncharted, the movie adaptation of the mega popular series of video games by Naughty Dog. Tom Holland stars in this film alongside Mark Walhberg and Antonio Banderas. Nathan Drake, played by Tom Holland, travels the world in search of gold and old treasures. Mark Walhberg plays Sully, Nathan’s friend and mentor. In this lesson we’re watching a clip from the movie trailer and an interview with both Tom and Mark.

In this lesson you will learn English vocabulary about describing movies. Plus, you will learn how watching a movie can improve your English, and what are the best kinds of movies to watch.

If you want to describe movies or write a movie review, you need to know the vocabulary for it. the first part of this video will teach you many English words, adjectives and collocations to describe films:
