“Pushpak” (English: The Love Chariot) is a 1987 Indian silent, black comedy film written, and directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. Touted to be the first Indian silent full-length feature film, it was produced by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and Shringar Nagaraj. Upon release, the film garnered highly positive reviews, and remained a box office hit.

The film has received the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and Filmfare Award South for Best Film. The film was premiered at the International Film Festival of India, 1988 Cannes Film Festival in the International Critics’ Week, and retrospective at the Shanghai Film Festival, and Whistling Woods International InstituteThe film is listed among CNN-IBN’s hundred greatest Indian films of all time.

Plot: Pakistani terrorists boldly attack the Indian Parliament building. The Indian army assigns this matter to Colonel Ranvir Singh Ranawat (Ajay Devgan), who along with his men, arrests the master-mind Baba Zaheer Khan (Mukesh Tiwari). The Colonel takes one of his police officers, Jaidev Rai (Abhishek Bachchan), on investigation as it was because of his negligence that the attack had taken place. An Islamic terrorist group, Al-Tahit, recruits a group of men to try and get Baba out from prison, but their efforts go in vain when their plan is interrupted by Jaidev, who is now the ACP in Mumbai. On the run from the Police, this group hijacks an Indian Airlines plane, travelling from Mumbai to Kathmandu, with Jaidev’s fiancee, Nandini (Bipasha Basu), an In-Flight Supervisor, and Captian Basheer Ali (Pankaj Dheer), who is ACP Jaidev’s foster father, on board. The plane, with 107 passengers and crew, is taken to Kazan in Pakistan captured Kashmir where they are met with more armed terrorists as well as the Pakistani army. Together they demand the release of Baba Zaheer in exchange for the lives of the passengers. The Army and Police in India collaborate and both Ranvir and Jaidev are asked to work together. Ranvir is doubtful of Jaidev’s capabilities, while Jaidev is investigating Ranvir and his men, who are suspected of supplying arms and ammunitions to terrorists and Pakistanis. SYNOPSIS :
This Punjabi Family Comedy Movie from India, IDIOT BOYS, takes us through light and emotional moments and shows how good-hearted guys under the wrong influences lose direction and end up doing idiotic things they would not have done in the first place.
Meet Surmeet and Gaurav Goyal (GG) are sons of two contesting politicians. Even though they are way past their student age, they are still enrolled in their area’s biggest professional college to gather votes for their parents.
Election fever is on, and Surmeet and GG are campaigning against each other. In the meantime, both see Mahi (an N.R.I. girl from Canada who is studying Law in the same college) and get smitten by her.
Surmeet and GG try to woo Mahi in their own silly ways but she does not take their advances seriously. Instead, she interacts with them as classmates in today’s age would. Surmeet and GG consider Mahi’s interaction as an advance towards them and think that Mahi is interested in having a relationship.
At a party, both Surmeet and GG approach Mahi and cross the level of decency with her. Mahi rebukes both in public, leaving them feeling insulted and frustrated. Meanwhile, both Surmeet’s and GG’s parents lose the elections and they now unite to “teach Mahi a lesson”.
Surmeet and Gaurav are not bad by heart but taking wrong advice from others and under bad influences do things that put their and Mahi’s life on a roller coaster ride.

This Punjabi Movie shows the college life of students, their hostel life, the way they enjoy themselves in the college and the hard work they put in for their studies. This film tells a story of young hearts seeing each other and falling in love; this falling in love makes their life so different and beautiful. Navdeep, the son of an Army major, sees a girl, Harmaan, and falls in love with her. In time, she also starts liking him. There are lots of good moments between both of them while Navdeep tries to convince her for his love. Both start to dream of a happy life together. But problems arise when they think of taking their parent’s consent before going any further. Harmaan’s father is a typical Punjabi father with a big ego who does not appreciate the idea of his daughter selecting a groom herself. It’s the same case with the Army Major – he has given Navdeep all the freedom in life, but cannot accept the fact that his son has chosen a girl for himself. He thinks it is his duty and right.Fellow students of Punjab University, Navdeep Singh and Harmaan Kaur, fall in love with each other. She introduces him to her dad, Retired Colonel Thakur Singh, who instantly disapproves and wants his daughter to marry a groom from the U.S.. Navdeep’s dad, Retired Major Balwinder Singh Brar, also opposes this alliance, and wants his son to complete his studies before getting married. Balwinder subsequently changes his mind but wants Thakur to adapt to tradition and approach him – but Thakur refuses to do so. The couple then conspire with their fellow students and arrange for their parents to meet on neutral ground. It is this decision that will shatter and change their lives forever …..

Synopsis :
In this Punjabi Film, Anna (Claudia Ciesla) comes to Punjab to find her sister’s husband who cheated her and disappeared from Canada, with all her sister’s valuables along with Sehaj (Vandana Singh). Sehaj’s father wants to marry her to anyone who offers lot of money as Sehaj posses permanent residence of Canada. Sehaj finds this and run away from home and goes to Kuku’s home(Gurpreet Ghuggi), whom they earlier met at Delhi Airport. After finding out that Sehaj has permanent residency of Canada, two of Kuku’s friend Deep and Jashan tries to woo Sehaj. Sehaj is confused between the two and finally choose Jashan. A local businessman is interested in buying Kuku’s family land. But Kuku is not interested so the businessman often sends hence henchman to threaten him. Kuku’s sister is school teacher and on a day is invited for lunch at fellow teacher’s home. She takes Anna along with her, where she finds the photograph of the man she is looking for. That man turns out to be husband of Kuku’s sister’s colleague Tarseem Singh (Binnu Dhillon). Kuku enlist Deep’s school time friend Vijay, a suspended cop. Vijay kidnaps Ujagar Singh, the in-charge cop of the area, who is also accomplice in businessman and Tarseem’s crimes. Vijay threatens Ujagar with life and gets the truth out of him. Due to solving this case, Vijay gets his job back and arrest Tarseem and the businessman. Kuku , Anna and Sehaj, Jashan forms a committed relationship. One of the best Punjabi Movies. …..

The only ambition of Sonu, a sailor, is to own a majestic and beautiful boat. One day, Sonu saves a girl called Geeta from drowning in the river which was overflowing due to heavy rain. Geeta is an orphan staying with her `Mamaji’ (mothers brother)in the neighbouring village. After Geeta fully recovers, Sonu takes her back to her village but to their disappointment, Geeta’s Mamaji refuses to accept her. Sonu is left with no alternative but to bring Geeta to his own house where she is warmly welcomed by Sonu’s mother.A rich man Pannalal, staying in Sonu’s village, sets his eyes on Geeta and begins to harass her. Meanwhile, Sonu’s mother suddenly falls ill and passes away after expressing her last desire to make Geeta her daughter-in-law. Sonu is shattered by his mother’s death and problems begin to mount in his life. Pannalal again starts making advances at Geeta but Sonu comes to her rescue in time and teaches Pannalal a lesson. After this incident, Sonu firmly decides to find a suitable match for Geeta and get her married at the earliest. In order to take revenge from Sonu, Pannalal hatches a conspiracy due to which the village `panchayat’ instructs Sonu to leave the village for good without Geeta. Though Sonu wants to take Geeta with him, she refuses to join him. However, this was not to be as an epidemic of Cholera spreads in the village. A doctor arrives from the city and he cures the patients with only Sonu by his side. Sonu is inspired by the goodness of the doctor and feels that he will be the right match for Geeta. While leaving the village, the doctor assures Sonu that he will soon return to marry Geeta, unfortunately while returning to the village, he meets with an accident and the news of his death sends Sonu into a state of shock. Seeing the trauma Sonu is passing through, Geeta is unable to express her hidden love for him. The village `panchayat’ decides in Sonu’s favour and allows Geeta to leave the village with Sonu if she is unable to stay alone. In order to avenge this defeat, Pannalal sets fire to Sonu’s majestic and beautiful boat, which was Sonu’s dream..! Fate intervenes and heavy rain causes the river to flood once again. Realising that she has been the root cause of all the trouble, Geeta decides to end her life but Sonu again comes to her rescue at the last moment and saves his lady love – Geeta.
