Synopsis: In 1830, US President Andrew Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act, according to which Aborigines were forcibly relocated to specially created Indian Territories (now eastern Oklahoma). A small part of the Seminole tribe, from 300 to 500 people, remained in the south of Florida and offered fierce resistance to the US army, which lost about 1,500 soldiers in battles. The film takes place in 1838, during the 2nd Seminole War. In the center of the plot is the fate and tragedy of the Seminole leader Osceola.
