On November 12, 2020, Sidhu Moosewala and Whole team announced the film MoosaJatt through Social Media[6] and filming began from December 2020. Originally intended for a 18 June 2021 release, it was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Surprise! Moosa Jatt (Uncut Version) To Release On Chaupal On 3 December
After winning over the hearts of the Punjabi audience at the theatres, the movie that marks the debut of Sidhu Moosewala in the film industry, Moosa Jatt, is now all set for its OTT release. The film will officially be released on the Punjabi OTT platform, Chaupal, on 3 December, 2021 at 6pm IST.
The movie was first set to be released in theatres on 1 October, 2021 but the release was delayed as the movie failed to obtain the censor board certification. In an exclusive news, Kiddaan has revealed that Moosa Jatt was preparing for its OTT release on Chaupal soon. And now, the stamp of confirmation has been put by Chaupal on Kiddaan’s exclusive news.
After almost a week, the film was finally given the green light and it became successful in making it to the theatres. It had already been released in the rest of the world on 1 October and was released in India on 8 October, 2021. After that, it went on to make a huge collection and win the hearts of the audience with its bold storyline, speaking of the farmers’ rights.
For those who could not watch the movie in the theatres, this is a blessing. It is also a must watch for those who have already seen the movie in theatres because it is going to offer much more content than the theatres release version.
