Download

PreSonus Studio One is a powerful digital audio workstation (DAW) that allows you to create professional-sounding music. One of the most popular features of Studio One is its ability to create 2pops. A 2pop is a short, two-bar musical phrase that can be used to create a variety of musical effects. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create 2pops in PreSonus Studio One.

Step 1: Create a New Project

The first step is to create a new project in PreSonus Studio One. To do this, open the program and click on the “New Project” button in the top left corner of the window. This will open a new project window where you can choose the type of project you want to create. For this tutorial, we’ll be creating a 2pop, so select the “2pop” option from the list.

Step 2: Add a Track

Once you’ve created a new project, you’ll need to add a track. To do this, click on the “Add Track” button in the top right corner of the window. This will open a new window where you can choose the type of track you want to add. For this tutorial, we’ll be adding a MIDI track, so select the “MIDI” option from the list.

Step 3: Create a 2pop

Now that you’ve added a track, you can start creating your 2pop. To do this, click on the “2pop” button in the top left corner of the window. This will open a new window where you can enter the notes for your 2pop. For this tutorial, we’ll be creating a simple two-bar phrase, so enter the notes for your phrase in the appropriate boxes.

Step 4: Add Effects

Once you’ve created your 2pop, you can add effects to it. To do this, click on the “Effects” button in the top right corner of the window. This will open a new window where you can choose the type of effect you want to add. For this tutorial, we’ll be adding a reverb effect, so select the “Reverb” option from the list.

Step 5: Export Your 2pop

Once you’ve added all of the effects you want to your 2pop, you can export it. To do this, click on the “Export” button in the top right corner of the window. This will open a new window where you can choose the format you want to export your 2pop in. For this tutorial, we’ll be exporting our 2pop as an MP3, so select the “MP3” option from the list.

And that’s it! You’ve now successfully created a 2pop in PreSonus Studio One. You can now use this 2pop in your own music productions or share it with others.

In this video, I demonstrate how to properly create 2POP at various frame-rate’s using the Tone Generator plug-in in PreSonus Studio One.
