Eric and Shelley met in a rehabilitation center and escaped together when those she was hiding from came for her. The lovers regain a taste of life, but happiness does not last long – the handmaidens of a cunning rich man send them both to the other side of the world. However, having died with a great sense of grief, Eric returns to the world of the living with only one goal – to avenge the death of his beloved.
