A Minecraft cape is an accessory that can be worn on the back of any Minecraft skin. These capes could be earned by various methods such as Minecon in the early days but can be earned today by attending game events or doing tasks. The Yearn Cape is obtainable by completing the six quests in the Minecraft Bedrock server event. This is an event server which is inspired by A Minecraft Movie.
