How to make the best lemon loaf cake ever. This amazing lemon pound cake is so delish, the drizzle and lemon syrup makes the sponge so deliciously moist. All the ingredients are below, so follow along if you want to make this easy zesty lemon cake.

Measurements are both metric and US measurements

Cake:
225g margarine or butter, softened – 1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter
225g caster sugar (or granulated/white sugar) – 1 cup caster sugar (or granulated sugar)
4 large eggs, room temp
225g self raising flour (or 225g plain/all purpose flour + 2 tsp baking powder) – 1 3/4 cups self-raising flour
Zest of 1-2 lemons

Lemon syrup:
50g icing sugar (powdered sugar) – 1/3 cup powdered sugar
45ml lemon juice (3 tbsp – approx 1 large or 2 small lemons) – 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Lemon icing:
150g-170g icing sugar (more if needed) – 1 1/4 to 1 1/3 cups powdered sugar (adjust for consistency)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp milk (any)

C’mon baby, let’s do the twist! Here are three easy ways to make lemon twists to garnish any of your awesome drinks! Making a twist seems difficult to some, but it’s really easy to do. We’ve broken it down three ways that you will find so simple to follow.

What You Need:

A lemon or any citrus fruit

A pairing knife

Optional: You can use a carrot peeler or a channel knife if you have either of these items

How to Make a Twist:

1. Use a knife and cut off the top and the bottom of the lemon

2. Turn the lemon so it is on one flat side

3. Take your knife and carefully cut along the white part separating the flesh from the skin

4. Flip over and repeat

5. Slice one side of the skin

6. Slice into twists

So easy!

An Easy Blackberry Jam Recipe with no Pectin. This recipe is the best, found on the Savory Sweet Life Easy to remember:
– 3 cups crushed blackberries or raspberries (I crush mine by putting all the berries inside a cup/bowl and smooshing them with a spoon)
– 3 cups sugar
– 3 teaspoons lemon juice

Instructions

In a small pan cook blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice on high heat for 5 minutes and reduce to medium heat and cook an additional 15 minutes. Skim the foam off and store in a heat-proof container. The jam will thicken as it cools.
