How to Find Your Calling? Finding Your Place!

1️⃣ God’s purpose is found in God’s presence (Ex. 3-4).
2️⃣ Calling is discovered, consecration is decided.

👉 Career is decided; calling is discovered.
👉 Career is natural; calling is supernatural.
👉 Career can change; calling does not.
👉 Career requires a degree; calling needs anointing.
👉 Career is for money; calling is for eternity.

“By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,” Hebrews 11v24

“Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”” Numbers 20v12 NKJV

“The LORD was also angry with me for your sakes, saying, ‘Even you shall not go in there.’” Deuteronomy 1v37

3️⃣ Embrace suffering if you want to be effective in God’s service.

“Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,” Hebrews 11v25

Suffering comes from:
👉 Pressure from the position
👉 Pain from people
👉 Pushback from the enemy
👉 Personal problems

4️⃣ Go far to find fire.

“One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.” Exodus 3v1 NLT

5️⃣ God’s call on your life is an answer to the cry of your generation.

“Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” Exodus 3v9-10

How to Survive Life’s Storms When Your Faith Is Tested

When you run from God’s call on your life you are running from God’s presence. (Jon 1v4-16)

👉 Jonah’s storm – caused by running from God’s call (Jon 1v4-16).
Calm the storm through repentance and returning to God’s purpose (Jon 3v1).
👉 Jesus storm – faced while following God’s will (Mt 8v23-27).
Overcome the storm by trusting God and exercising faith (Mark 4v40).
👉 Paul’s storm – caught in the consequences of others’ mistakes (Acts 27v13-44).
Survive the storm by persevering, swimming, and holding on to the broken pieces (Acts 27v43-44).

1. Forgive those who are responsible for the storm you’re facing now. (Acts 27v21)
2. The storm might destroy your ship, but don’t let it sink your faith. (Acts 27v22; Luke 22v32; 1 Timothy 1v19)
3. Storms don’t mean God is absent, just like clouds don’t mean the sun is gone. (Acts 27v23-24)
4. Not everything God is involved in will end up in a miracle. (Acts 27v26)
5. Don’t lose your spiritual appetite in the storm, or you’ll face spiritual starvation. (Acts 27v34-35)
6. Survive the storm by holding on to what’s left, not what you lost. (Acts 27v43-44)
7. If God doesn’t part the sea like He did for Israel, calm the storm like He did for Jesus, or send a fish like He did for Jonah, He’ll give you the strength to swim, just as He did for Paul.

We don’t get cold for God, we grow cold towards God. (Matthew 24v12)

1. We don’t drift to God, we draw near to God. (James 4v8)

2. Before you can draw near to God, God draws you near to Himself. (Psalm 65v4; John 12v32; Matthew 15v8)

3. God will not drive you to Himself, He will draw you to Himself.

4. God will draw you near to Himself by conviction of the Holy Spirit. (John 16v8)
Conviction is specific; condemnation is general.
Conviction attacks the issue; condemnation attacks your identity.
Conviction is from the Holy Spirit; condemnation is from the devil.
Conviction gives you hope; condemnation makes you hopeless. Conviction leads to repentance; condemnation leads to remorse.

5. Drawing near to God will require you to walk in the light as He is in the light. (1 John 1v9-10; Psalm 32v3-5)

Sin grows in the dark. Sin seeks out the darkness so its deeds aren’t exposed to God or to others (John 3v20)

6. Drawing near to God increases the fear of God and the feeding on God more than the feeling of God.

How to Get Revival and Keep it?

Water is a gift from God; well is a gift to the world.

“Now the Philistines had stopped up all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, and they had filled them with earth.” Genesis 26v15

1. God creates water; we dig a well.

7 Things To Do To Get Revival:
Fervent in prayer.
Have a heart for souls.
Make disciples who make disciples.
Raise the next generation.
Confront the demonic.
Expect the miraculous.
Endure suffering.

2. Wells that don’t carry water get carried by wind of culture.

“These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.” 2 Peter 2v17

“The chief danger that confronts the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, heaven without hell.” William Booth

“Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” 2 Timothy 3v5

3. Everyone must learn to both dig new and redig old wells.

“And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them.” Genesis 26v18

“Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.” Revelation 2v5

Remember. Repent. Repeat.

“But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they quarreled with him.” Genesis 26v20-22

Build wells of water, not walls of offense.

“And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the LORD has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” Genesis 26v22

Don’t win arguments, dig wells.
