How to do a Lace Roof! Blown 392 HEMI 1955 Desoto ep3! #supercharged #mopar

Download

In this episode 3 on the Blown 392 HEMI 1955 Desoto we do a basic how to paint a Lace roof. The results are jaw dropping and really change the look of our latest addition. Two different pearls are added over the first two coats a red / brown pearl and then a gold pearl, which completely changes the look of the car and looks amazing and completely different from every angle and ever light. After removing the original stickers from the body and every thing going sideways when all the paint peeled off with them the plans changed with the car and a fake patina body was looking like the only way out. We stuck to our original plan with the roof doing a high gloss multiple pearl coloured lace paint job and it turned out amazing which leaves us re thinking our matt clear over patina idea and contemplating going back to our original plan by high gloss clear coating with pearls added on the rest of the body but this time over the airbrushed signs and patina, your thoughts on these ideas would be appriciated.

My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We saw over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000’s of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!
