How to Make a Ham and Cheese Omelette

In this video, Mahalo expert Judith Jones demonstrates how to make a ham and cheese omelette.

What You’ll Need

Ingredients

* 3 medium eggs
* 1 heaping tbsp ham
* 1tbsp olive oil
* 1 tbsp g
ruyère cheese, grated* 1/2 tbsp butter
* Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment
* Nonstick frying pan
* Large bowl
* Spatula
* Whisk

Preparation

1. Warm nonstick frying pan over medium heat.
2. Add olive oil to frying pan. Spread it around so that it covers the entire surface of the pan.
3. Add butter to pan and let melt.
4. Pour eggs into the large bowl and whisk. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste (optional). You can also add milk if you like, but Judith prefers the eggs by themselves.

1. Pour eggs into the frying pan and move them around within the first 20 seconds to make sure they cook evenly.
2. Add ham and cheese on top of the egg mix.
3. Move your spatula around the edges of the eggs to make sure they aren’t sticking to the pan.
4. Flip the omelette quickly so it doesn’t tear.
5. Let the eggs and cheese cook to your liking, then slide the omelette on to a plate and serve.
