The plot is about a man ‘John’ who has many superpowers similar to those of Superman. He can fly and is extremely powerful. But whenever he helps people, they call him a “Fool.” This word irritates Hancock because he dislikes it. Hancock worsens the condition of the person who calls him a fool. That’s why his image in the city was so bad. He saves a man named Ray, and Ray advises him that if he wants to improve his image, he should be arrested by the police. So, if the people need you, they will call you back. Ray is grateful to Hancock because he saved him. Hancock accepts what Ray said, and he was arrested by the police.
He now lives in jail, but the crime rate in the city has increased by 30 percent as a result. The prisoners gradually became Hancock’s friends, but some of them dislike him. Later, the minister calls him, and his image has improved. Hancock also meets Ray’s wife Mary, who is similar to him, and discovers her powers while attracted to her. He inquires, “Who are we?” She told him, “We have superpowers, and the people regard us as God.” But we are the only ones left. Mary6 tells him that we were fine when we weren’t close to each other, but that if we get too close, we’ll die.
Finally, the robber injures Mary and Hancock while shooting, and they are harmed because they are so close. Mary wasn’t breathing, but when Hancock remembers what Mary said, he goes at a far distance from Mary while jumping from the hospital’s window and then takes a high jump to the moon, just like Mary did. Ray’s family is shown happy and enjoying ice cream, and then Hancock calls Raya and asks him to look at the sky, and there was the symbol Ray suggested.
