Story:
Havarang tells of the first Havarang warriors of Silla, who are young, noble and famous for their beauty. The warriors include a man from the lower class of Silla (Park Seo Joon) and a hidden king, Jinheung (Park Hyung Sik), who join in secret. Both the men also fall in love with the girl Ah Ro (Go Ara).

Hvarang was such an amazing historical figure! I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It has everything I love about good period movies. With just the right balance of light-hearted humour, romance, political intrigue, action and disturbing goodness, the story develops so beautifully with great speed from start to finish.

The opening story is very well laid out, showing the deep fraternal friendship between Seong Woo and Mac Moon (Lee Kwang Soo). This relationship between the two men sets everything in motion and has a lasting impact on the entire story.

Park Seo Joon plays Sung Woo, who comes from Silla’s lower class. After tragedy strikes and he loses his best friend, he considers himself his friend’s identity. But he also seeks revenge on the hidden king, whom he blames for his friend’s death.

We have Go Ara in the form of Ah Ro. She is the sister of Seong-woo’s deceased friend, which is why she believes that Sun-woo is actually her brother. Things get a little more complicated as he realizes that he has feelings for her. She also attracts Ji Bi’s feelings, which creates a cute love triangle.

There are so many great secondary characters in Hvarang! The play did such a great job of developing these characters and giving them meaningful stories. I loved all the people of Havarang and thoroughly enjoyed their relationship with each other.

Some memorable ones include the tension between Bang Ryu (Do Ji Han) and Soo Ho (Choi Min Ho), Woo Woo (Jo Yoon Woo) and the adorable Han Sung (Kim Tae Hyun, better known as BTS V). relationships are included. yes, bts!!)
