Thakur Bhavani Singh (Raaj Kumar) heads a gang of dacoits, who spread terror in the village. One day, Bhavani kidnaps the son of wealthy Harnam Singh, and demands a hefty ransom for the release of Harnam’s child. Harnam agrees to all the conditions, and hands over the money to Bhavani which he had asked for. Unfortunately, Harnam’s child is killed. Bhavani is separated from his family due to heavy rains and floods, and decides to turn himself in to the police, and is sent to prison. Will he ever be able to re unite with his family?
