Renowned and affluent singer Ravi (Rishi Kapoor) fall in love with one of his fans, Kaajal (Divya Bharti), and they get married. Trouble finds them when Ravi’s scheming uncle and cousin kill him for his wealth. To put their difficult past behind, Kaajal moves to another city along with her mother-in-law. In the new city, Kaajal meets Raja (Shah Rukh Khan) who falls head over heels in love with her and persuades her to marry him. But just as Kaajal finds the strength to move on and accept Raja’s proposal, Ravi rises from the dead. What will Kaajal do now?
