He is groomed by Guru Bhishma Narayan (Prakash Raj) as a protector of the badrinath temple, where Sri Maha Vishnu is the presiding deity. Into that temple walks Alaka Nanda (Tamannah) who due to circumstances becomes a staunch agnostic. Badri converts her into a believer and in the process, without him being aware, becomes the object of her affection. Alaka Nanda’s love for Badri, causes a conflict in the mind of his Guru who begins to doubt him. Till here V V Vinayak had some control. And then he introduces the villainy of Sircar (Kelly Dorjee) and loses the grip he so carefully had over the story. Sircar’s aim is to marry his son to Alaka Nanda, who of course is in love with Badri. The rest of the story is about how Alaka Nanda and Badri become one to prove that love, above all, is the ultimate of human emotions.
Badri, a warrior and the protector of Badrinath temple, finds himself in troubled waters after an agnostic woman falls for him and his mentor suspects him of loving her back.
The seers approach Bheeshma Narayan (Prakash Raj), a trained martial arts teacher, who lives in the Himalayas and chooses to train the kids who volunteer to do this job. Badri (Allu Arjun) is one of them and he grows up into a strong fighter after years of rigorous training. He is soon appointed as the Kshetra Palakudu of the Badrinath temple. Now, the heroine Alakananda (Tamanna), who is an atheist, enters the picture. Badri learns of her troubled past that involves Sarkar (Kelly Dorjee) from her grandfather. Badri manages to turn this atheist into a devotee and she inevitably falls in love with him.
