Set in April 1968 in Vietnam, “Point Man” unfolds three months after the tide-turning Tet Offensive and one month after the tragic assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. This drama tells the story of a U.S. Army fire team fractured by racial tensions, moral crises, and the crushing pressures of combat in a war nobody wants to fight.
Andre “Casper” Allen, a charismatic ideologue with radical political views, finds himself at odds with the squad’s machine gunner, Silas Meeks. This leads to a sharp confrontation not only between Allen and Meeks but also with their unyielding platoon commander, Lieutenant Sutter.
