میرِ کارواں جن کو راستے منزل کا پتہ دیتے ہیں
وہ ظلمت ِشب میں سحر کرنے کا حوصلہ رکھتے ہیں
جب آنکھوں میں نمی سی اترتی ہے شام کے بعد
اہل درد کی بستی میں مِثل شمع دل جلتے ہیں شام کے بعد
عبث پھرتا ہے مسجد مندر کلیسا گرجا
گر طلب ہے خدا کی تو اپنے اندر تلاش کر
کبھی زیست سے کبھی خود سے برسرِ پیکار رہا عمر بھر
گود سے گور کا سفر اتنا آساں نہ تھا
دلیلِ راہ ہوں تیرا نقشِ پاء میری منزل نہیں شمس
چھین کے شوقِ سفر منزل کی دعا دے ایسا مسیحا نہیں چاہیے
محبت الہام ہے آنکھوں کے راستے دل میں اترتی ہے
تو ہم آنکھ سے دل تک کا سفر طے کر کے دیکھتے ہیں
