Saawan Kumar Tak is a filmmaker whose films are known. Im not saying all of them are good. But his movies, hits or flops, are known by people. Think about films like Hawas, Souten, Souten Ki Beti, Chand Ka Tukda, Sanam Beweffa, Oh Bewaffa and many others.
One of his films that is lesser known is this film PREETI which was released in 1986. The film had Rajeev Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure in the main lead supported by Vinod Mehra, Asha Parekh, Prem Chopra, Roopesh Kumar and Shashikala.
One of the highlights of Saawan Kumar Tak movies is mainly the music. Each and every movie, how dumb they may be, has at least one gem in the movie. PREETI is the exception to the rule. Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar were the main singers and Manmohan Singh made his debut as singer under music direction of Usha Khanna, Saawan’s ex wife who used to be the music director in his films during this period.
Like mentioned in the film the songs have been muted because of copyright issues. If I didnt mute the songs the film is blocked and cant be uploaded but I am sure there will be comments in the commentssection abusing me once again because of the muted songs… Well just one thing : if people keep on abusing me I just will stop uploading any movies. I upload these movies because I am a big movie lover and want to share movies with others without making any money. Some people put up clips on YouTube and then sell movies. I don’t.
