Synopsis :-
Thikana (1987) is a Hindi crime drama film directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film stars Smita Patil, Anil Kapoor, Amrita Singh, Suresh Oberoi, Rohini Hattangadi, Avtar Gill, Madan Jain, Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher, Suhas Bhalekar, Yunus Parvez, C.S. Dubey, Arvind Joshi.
The story revolves around Ravi Goel, an alcoholic lawyer who refuses to lie in court, which results in him not getting many cases. His mother, Mrs. Goel (played by Rohini Hattangadi), is fed up with his frequent drinking, while his elder sister, Shashi (played by Smita Patil), supports the family. MP Rane (played by Avtar Gill) is videotaped by a cameraman, Avinash, raping and killing a girl. Rane has both the cameraman and the girl killed1. Shashi becomes pregnant with Ranbir Singh’s (played by Suresh Oberoi) child but refuses to marry him, fearing it would burden her family. Ravi takes on Ranbir’s case to fight for justice1.
The film’s music was composed by Kalyanji-Anandji, with lyrics by Anjaan.
