विश्वात्मा 1992 में बनी हिन्दी भाषा की एक्शन रोमांचकारी फ़िल्म है। यह राजीव राय द्वारा निर्देशित और गुलशन राय द्वारा निर्मित है।
प्रभात सिंह (सनी देओल) एक ईमानदार और समर्पित पुलिस अधिकारी है। प्रभात के पिता (आलोक नाथ) शांति में विश्वास रखते हैं और अपने देश में रक्तपात/अशांति का विरोध करते हैं। प्रभात को अब सबसे खतरनाक अपराधी “अजगर जुर्राट” (अमरीश पुरी) को पकड़ने के मिशन पर रखा गया है। वह वर्तमान में केन्या में रहता है लेकिन भारत में काम करता है। प्रभात एक मुठभेड़ में अजगर के भाई को मार डालता है। क्रोधित होकर अजगर प्रभात के स्कूल जाने वाले छोटे भाई का अपहरण कर लेता है और उसकी हत्या करा देता है। प्रभात का परिवार तबाह हो जाता है और उसके पिता उसके भाई की मौत के लिए उसे दोषी मानते हैं। इसलिए प्रभात भारत के एक सुदूर गाँव में चला जाता है।
