Indian Air Force S-400 Sudarshan Chakra air defence missile systems were fired on 7 May Night against targets moving towards India. The targets were successfully neutralised in the operation. The debris of these attacks is now being recovered from a number of locations that prove the Pakistani attacks
What is IAF’s S-400 Air Defence Missile System?
– The most formidable addition is the Russian-made S-400 missile system.
– With a range of up to 400 km, it can track and shoot down multiple targets including aircraft, cruise missiles, and even some ballistic missiles.
– As of now, multiple S-400 batteries have been deployed across key sectors, especially near the western border.
– The S-400 uses a radar to detect and track multiple targets simultaneously. It can engage up to 36 targets at once
– The S-400 system employs several types of missiles with varying ranges, including the 40N6E (400 km), 48N6 family (200-250 km), 9M96E2 (120 km), and 9M96E (40 km)
According to Officials, The Indian response has been in the same domain and with the same intensity as Pakistan. Notably, One of the significant targets an air defence system positioned in Lahore was successfully neutralised by India
