The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance surged ahead of the opposition INDIA bloc in early trends as the vote count for the Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 election began at 8 am on Tuesday, June 4.
Very early leads show the NDA, which already has one seat in its kitty after the BJP candidate won unopposed in Surat, leading on 254 seats, outstripping the INDIA bloc, which was ahead on 159 seats. Others, including regional outfits and Independents, were leading on 16 seats.
