Zehreela Insaan is a 1974 Indian Hindi-language romance film starring Rishi Kapoor, Moushumi Chatterjee, Neetu Singh and Pran. Film is directed by Puttanna Kanagal and produced by Virendra Sinha. It is a remake of Kanagal’s own 1972 Kannada film Naagarahaavu which was based on three Kannada novels: Nagarahavu, Ondu Gandu Eradu Hennu and Sarpa Mathsara, all written by T. R. Subba Rao.
Synopsis:
The plot revolves around Arjun Singh, a hot-headed but soft-hearted man who is misunderstood by others as a bad person. His only supporter is his childhood teacher, Masterji. Arjun falls in love with Aarti, but her father disapproves of their relationship and arranges her marriage to someone else. Despite his heartbreak, Arjun follows Masterji’s advice and does not disrupt the marriage.
Later, Arjun falls in love with Margaret, who has also faced opposition from her family. This time, Arjun decides to follow his heart and runs away with Margaret. The story explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the struggle to be understood.
It’s a poignant tale of love and resilience.
