Synopsis :
सुधा वर्मा अपने पिता और माँ के लिए एक आदर्श बेटी बनना चाहती हैं। दुर्भाग्य से उनकी माँ की मृत्यु हो जाती है और उनके पिता फिर से शादी कर लेते हैं, इस बार कमला से, जो स्वार्थी होती है और सुधा को शादी करके बसने से बिल्कुल भी इंटरेस्ट नहीं रखती है। सुधा डॉ. राजेश आनंद से मिलती है और दोनों प्यार में पड़ जाते हैं। सभी शादी की मंजूरी देते हैं, जब तक राजेश शादी के निमंत्रण कार्ड नहीं देखता, और उसे पता चलता है कि उसकी शादी शारदा के साथ अरेंज हो गई है, और सुधा राकेश से शादी करेगी। राजेश इसे सुधा के साथ सीधा करने की कोशिश करता है, लेकिन आदर्शवादी सुधा इससे सहमत नहीं होती क्योंकि वह अपने पिता को शर्मिंदा नहीं करना चाहती है। दुर्भाग्य से, सुधा की शादी नहीं होती है क्योंकि दहेज का पैसा चोरी हो गया होता है।
राजेश वापस आता है और सुधा से शादी करने की उम्मीद करता है, लेकिन वह देखता है कि सुधा और उनके पिता लापता हैं और वे ट्रेस नहीं किए जा सकते हैं। फिर वह अपने घर लौटता है और एक सुधा की दिखने वाली औरत से मिलता है, जो खुद को आशा कहती है, लेकिन सुधा वर्मा के नाम से कभी हुए या किसी से मिले नहीं होने का दावा करती है।
