Sir Anthony Hopkins portrays Bill, a man embittered by his divorce and losing custody of his son. When his friend faces a divorce due to his wife’s pursuit of a same-sex relationship, Bill assists in gaining custody using dubious means. However, conflicted by his belief that feminism cost him his family, Bill begins to regret his and Roger’s (Jim Broadbent) actions.
