Aadmi is a 1968 Indian Hindi drama film starring Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Manoj Kumar, Simi Garewal and Pran. The Fil is produced by P. S. Veerappa and directed by A. Bhimsingh. The film’s music is by Naushad. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Aalayamani. Besides being noted for Dilip Kumar’s acting as a man in a wheelchair, the film is also known for its dialogues by Akhtar ul Iman and trick cinematography work by Faredoon A. Irani. It was a commercial success at the box office.
Synopsis:
The plot revolves around Rajesh, an orphan who comes from a wealthy and noble family. As a child, he falls in love with a girl named Meena, but tragically, she dies, and Rajesh substitutes her with a doll. Years later, Rajesh, still haunted by his past, falls in love with another woman named Meena and plans to marry her. However, his obsession with his childhood sweetheart leads to a series of dramatic events.
