Meri Taaqat, a 2006 film, is the hindi dubbed version of the Malayalam film Lakshmi. The movie is directed by V V Vinayak and stars Venkatesh, Nayantara and Charmme Kaur.
The story is about a caring brother Lakshmi Narayana (Venkatesh) who lords over a huge business empire and dotes on his sisters and brothers. But life comes unstuck for him, when the scheming Janardhan (Sayi Shinde) an ex-employee of his, plots in the background and creates misunderstanding
between Lakshmi’s brothers and sisters. The inevitable happens; Lakshmi leaves it all for his brother and sister. Lakshmi’s real relationship with his siblings is also revealed.Also lakshmi has a past love interest (Nayantara).His secretary (Charmi) also has a soft corner for him. How Lakshmi gets the better of Janardhan and manages to repair his relationship with his siblings form the rest of the story.
