The Plot opens with a stray dog becoming a violent Alien-like creature, after drinking toxic fumes washed out by a scientific laborarory in Ooty, which then bites a security guard. The security guard turns into a zombie momentarily and starts a chain of human infections via bites.
Back to the present, Karthik (Jayam Ravi) is a Traffic Police Officer in Ooty who avoids all kinds of dangers as he takes care of his younger sister Vidhya (Anikha Surendran), who is in her early teens. Both are orphans but they live with Karthik’s Comic Constable Friend Chinnamalai (Kaali Venkat). He is in love with a doctor named Renuka (Lakshmi Menon) but never proposes in all their meetings. Renu is engaged and is about to get married to an NRI named Naveen (Amit Bhargav), who is also Cardiologist. Meanwhile, Karthik’s sister is kidnapped and is suspected to be attacked by the zombies. The police of Ooty decides to shoot the people who have turned into zombies. Karthik is also looking for his sister and also kills some zombies. He receives a call in which he is told to arrive at a place to find his sister. There he finds Renu and her group of doctors, including the chief doctor Dharan (Jeeva Ravi) finding a vaccine. Karthik also finds his sister and later comes to know that the doctors are trapped inside the house which is invaded by zombies.

PLOT:
Bharath Kumar (Prajwal Devaraj), who works in an electronics showroom, suffers from a rare disorder — sleeping beauty syndrome, which is said to occur in one among a million people. It makes one fall asleep for 18 hours a day, leaving just six hours for the rest of their activities, including work. Chikki Chikki Chikkappa, Chochlategintha sweetappa… Chikki Chikki Chikkappa, nidde enda ellappa, these sweet lines, often told by Varu, his brother’s daughter, help him chase conman Johnny (Prashanth Siddhi), who abducts the child (Aaradhya). In a parallel track, the film explores the ova scam involving a mafia dealing in human egg cells. The film starts on a slow note, establishing the various characters, Bharath’s family, the company he works at while handling his sleeping disorder, and the many challenges he faces as a result of his condition. In between all this, he also finds love in Tapasvini (Nishvika Naidu), a dietician. Her parents are trying to find her a match, and she finds a suitable groom in Bharath. However, the latter is not ready to reveal his health issue, due to a fear of losing her. An untoward incident reveals the truth to Tapasvini. She initially distances herself from Bharath, for not opening up to her, only to return to him later. The reason for her decision forms one part of the story. On the other hand, the plot brings to light the embryo trade. Bharath has to dig deeper into the circumstances around his brother’s (Pranav) accident, with the help of inspector Shivmurthy (Sanchari Vijay) and doctor Swaminathan Rai (Arjun), only to uncover some startling truths. How this ‘gentleman’ goes on to take revenge leads us to an action-packed climax.

This is a wonderful commercial entertainer in the combination of Upendra, Srinivasaraju and Dr CR Manohar. Scintillating part of the film is the screenplay and preserving the suspense on the action of hero in multiple responsibilities. For all questions in the mind Srinivasaraju gives a splendid answer. Director Srinivasaraju also showcase how important is ‘Dharma’. He has given cinematic end to terrorism and attack on this sub continent India.
‘Shivam’ is director Srinivasaraju best so far. His home work and struggle is understandable after watching the film. He knows how to mix complicated issues and make it convincing. With international attack on India and ‘Dharma’ on the other side director Srinivasaraju from this film ‘Shivam’ also graduate the audience intelligence. He is quick, dashing and appealing in his narration.
At the climax, priest Shivaprasad saying the two ears of every Indian hears Kausalya Supraja Rama….and Allah O Akbar and living peacefully deserves national applaud for director Srinivasaraju.
In the highly respected family of Paramashiva, priest of ancient Shiva temple the several generations have continued rituals in a systematic manner. Paramashiva (Srinivasamurthy) wants his first son to take up the link. I am not for it and my scientific launches are important says the first son. When the tormentors are about to take on the temple with ulterior motives, Shivaprasad (Upendra) second son of Paramashiva comes up with precise answer.
While there is battle for Shivaprasad outside this religious work, he takes stern decision and proves through his knowledge his strength to continue his father Paramashiva tradition. An array of religious knowledge test is made for Shivaprasad and the elders in the society are confirmed that he is fit for rituals to Lord Shiva.
Shivaprasad is a man with extraordinary intelligence, power and vigor. His basic work is for RAW in New Delhi. He has traveled widely to finish off danger to India. It is Amanulla Khan (Ravishanker), the biggest trouble shooter. As the attack on Shivaprasad outside the temple unravels the audience goes to a solid flashback and know the purpose of Shivaprasad.
It is not right to disclose everything. You have to watch it for the concern and effort of director Srinivasaraju. The point of ‘Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha’ is the end point of the film.
Super star Upendra is really super in his very responsible role. He was not seen in the attire of a priest so far. Upendra is fabulous in the get up and his solid action, dialogues and screen presence is the first major score of the film.
Ragini sizzles once again with a rocking performance getting in to the den of international criminals. The song for Ragini – Sakkathu Ishta…is superb. Saloni as traditional girl also haunts like Ragini Dwivedi.
A highly respected veteran actor Srinivasamurthy has added extra dimension to the role with his ability. Doddanna, Makrand Deshnapde, CR Gopi, Kari Subbu, Sharat Lohitashva, Avinash, Lohitashva, Arjun, Gowrish Akki, Geetha, Bhavya added value to their roles.
It is newcomer Gururaj M Desai dialogues that is punching and befitting to the occasions in the film. The music of Mani Sharma is also on top in three tunes. The religious song, Sarala Virala…..Sakkath Ishta Naughty Boys…are mass songs in the film.
The action is fantastic from Kanal Kannan, Ravi Verma and Thriller Manju. The film is luxuriously made and nothing short of any Hindi cinema.

A criminal lawyer Nandini (Sangeetha Chauhan) initially hates JK (Diganth) but very soon she falls in love with him. JK on knowing the reason for night phobia for Nandini has not even made an attempt to take revenge. Already one wicket is down from tormentors of Nandini.
Nandini mistake it. She thanks JK for such a ‘Sharp Shoot’. Now JK is framed in the shout out. Nandini uses the ‘Night Blind’ disability to bail JK out. When she is aware that she is fought on real problem obviously she is shocked. Now the stage is set in the evening time to finish off JK. The main tormentor knows this problem and kidnap Nandini to a far off place. How JK uses his brain and muscle power is the end part of the film. Diganth has some good action to perform. He looks sweet as ever, the romantic moments are very absorbing. The song with Aindrita Ray is attractive. Sangeetha Chauhan impressive in the role of Nandini and she has a long way to go in the career. Chikkanna is laughing materials for his dialogues.
Sudharani is an apt choice for mother role. The strength of Achyuth Kumar is limited, veteran actress Lakshmi also gives some relief. Elle Iddaru Alle Haajaru…is top of other songs in the film from music director Shiva Santosh, Karunakar as cameraman maintained the brightness requires for eyes. ‘Sharp Shooter’ is an average flick.
