As a person who has been struggling in the movie industry for the past two years, I have accumulated sufficient basic experience and knowledge to share with everyone on this website and beyond. Please read on to find out about my negative and positive experiences in filmmaking.
Why filmmaking?
Filmmaking is something I enjoy. It is exciting and
keeps me on my toes. The entire process of filmmaking is absolutely amazing – the initial conceptualization of a story, the first draft of the script, the advertising and promotion, the audition of actors, set decoration and, finally, the shoot, which, in my opinion, is the best because that is where the real action is. We have gone hours without food, days without sleep and weeks without proper rest and I suppose this is what makes it all a big achievement because we know the amount of hard work and dedication we put into our project. And if the movie is a success, there are no bounds to our happiness and increasing sense of self. The entire process gives me a sense of euphoria that further compels me to keep repeating the same process again and again.
The last word
What you should conclude from this little article is that filmmaking is an exceptionally good career. It is not all fame and glamour, because a lot of perseverance is required to make a movie. Granted, you will need to make a lot of sacrifices, perhaps go against your parents’ / society’s will but if you’re passionate about becoming an actor or a director or a script writer or even a line producer, just go ahead and struggle for the same. It might take 5 years or 10 years or 15 years, but one fine day, you WILL reap the benefits of all your struggles and sacrifices.
