Ranganayaki, the matriarch of a wealthy family, navigates through a series of misfortunes alongside her family members. Her household includes her elder brother, his son with his family, her younger brother and his family. She also has four daughters out of which Gayathri, Priya and Divya live with her. The family faces a major setback when her elder daughter elopes and is later killed in a plane crash along with her spouse. Further calamities include a mysterious fire at the family’s factory and Divya getting paralysed in a car accident, which postpones her engagement.
Seeking solutions, Ranganayaki consults their family astrologer, Guruji, who advises a prayer at their ancestral temple in Vettaiyapuram. The prayer requires the presence of the entire family, including her elder daughter’s orphaned children, who are now under Pandiyan’s care. Although hesitant, the family follows Guruji’s advice and heads to Vettaiyapuram.
Upon arrival, they lease the Vettaiyapuram Palace for 48 days from its caretakers, Murugesan and Senthil’s uncle, and move in despite Murugesan’s warning against venturing into the southern part of the palace. Curiosity leads Priya into the forbidden area, where she unwittingly releases the spirit of Chandramukhi from a rangoli. Meanwhile, the family discovers their temple in ruins.
Pandiyan takes on the task of cleaning the temple, but an unfortunate turn of events leads to a fire breaking out within the temple premises. This fire inadvertently unleashes the spirit of Vettaiyan, much to the dismay of Chandramukhi, causing a wave of chaos to sweep through the palace. Upon his return, Pandiyan shares the unnerving with the family that Chandramukhi has possessed one of the women in the household. Murugesan reveals that a similar incident had occurred 17 years prior. When Guruji arrives, Murugesan elaborates on Ganga’s previous psychological affliction, where she imagined herself as Chandramukhi. However, now, the real Chandramukhi has been unleashed, escalating the threat.

During 1857, the Indian subcontinent is in the grips of a widespread revolt against the rule of the British East India Company. The city of Jhansi is under siege by the British, and the defending soldiers begin to waver upon seeing that they are outnumbered. However, their queen, Rani Lakshmi Bai, motivates them by telling the tale of the rebel who started their war ten years ago: Narasimha Reddy.
Reddy was born to the chief of Uyyalawada and his two wives who are the daughters of Nossam’s chief. He defied death after being born still and coming to life, and is believed to be blessed by God with gifted abilities and has demonstrated athletic and acrobatic skills from a young age. One day, a teenage Reddy rides past an execution conducted by the British, and his grandfather explains the predicament faced by villagers under the rule of the East India Company. Reddy vows to retaliate and learns combat and philosophy under sage Gosayi Venkanna. 25 years later, Reddy gathers several fallen chiefs and kings from different provinces and organises a
operational resistance in the city of Renadu. The kingdoms were taken over by British forces led by Cochrane, the governor of Madras. Cochrane is told of Reddy’s resistance being effective against their rule and sends a general named Jackson to force
collect Renadu’s taxes.

Geetha is a pampered daughter of a wealthy merchant Narasimha, who meets Arya, a happy-go-lucky person in her friends’ wedding. Geetha is relucantly sent to Bangalore for studies by her mother, where she gets in touch with Arya, who begins to help her in studies. Geetha tells him that she is not interested in a relationship with him. Arya loves her, but in fear of rejection, doesn’t reveal his love.

Veera, who is brought up as a male chauvinist by his uncle Ratnam, is seeking a bride with his own preconceived set of conditions. Examples include a bride who is less educated than him (he finished up to 8th grade), has long hair, is silent and obedient, and does not plan to have a career as she has to devote her life to her husband. However, he unexpectedly ends up marrying Keerthi, who is the polar opposite of his expectations. Keerthi is a wrestler who has anger issues, short hair, and is a university graduate. She refuses to marry because she wants to focus on her career as a wrestling champion; however, her father has a heart attack and wants her to get married. Her uncle Ganesan arranges her marriage to him and convinces her to lie about herself and pretend to adjust to Veera’s type. Hence, she has to wear hair extensions and control her anger. She accepts Veera’s marriage proposal only because he refuses dowry. Within a few months, she has to deal with Veera and his misogyny; however, when Veera was going to get killed by Dass over a political disagreement, Keerthi shows her true colors and saves his life. This makes Veera scared of her because he is worried that she will beat him up. This also gets everyone making fun of him that his wife is much stronger and ‘manlier’ than him. Sattam, the family lawyer, shows Veera the real truth about Keerthi. This makes Veera fear respect Keerthi. With this incident, Keerthi rises to popularity. When Ratnam returns from prison, he disrespects Keerthi because he thinks she is inferior to him, which results in Keerthi slapping him. Veera comes to know about this and slaps her and kicks her out of the house. Keerthi leaves the house and vows to come back only when Veera realizes his mistake and accepts that men and women are equal.
Keerthi returns home, and her father enrolls her for a wrestling competition intentionally, which she refuses to participate in. To make matters worse, Ratnam and Sattam decide to file a divorce under Veera’s name (which Veera does not know) through a letter. This makes Keerthi take up wrestling again. When Veera realizes that she has signed up for wrestling, Veera decides to end his life as he has lost respect (after Dass refuses to fight him because of Keerthi). They provoke him to fight against her to gain his masculinity. His uncle convinces the association to have a separate wrestling match between Veera and Keerthi. Lokesh, Keerthi’s coach who lusts after her, makes this happen for business purposes. Veera gets trained by Kodangi, who is a traditional wrestler. He refuses to train him initially because he wanted to be prepared for the match in 15 days, but Veera lies by saying he is doing for this for his wife, which Kodangi agrees to help because he is a widower. Veera trains hard and understands the pain wrestlers go through.

Plot : Satya Chaudhry is told by her doctor that she has cancer and will die soon. She goes back to her native village in the Rajputana area and requests her childhood acquaintance, Roop, to provide companionship to her husband, Dev Chaudhry who runs a liberal spaper. Roop keeps rejecting Satya’s proposal but later gets convinced by her father, Dharampal, and agrees on the condition that she will marry Dev to which Satya agrees.
Once married, Dev tells Roop that he still loves Satya and that their relationship will only be cordial and platonic. A depressed Roop takes solace in music, which she begins by learning from the madam of a kotha, Bahaar Begum. She also begins working in her husband’s publishing house, to use her education to her advantage. Roop expresses interest in writing about the condition of Heera Mandi, the locality in which the kotha is located, during which she meets with a womanising blacksmith named Zafar.
Zafar wants to exact revenge on his parents, Bahaar Begum and Balraj Chaudhry (who abandoned Zafar after ending his extramarital affair with Bahaar) by seducing Roop, as she is married to Balraj’s legitimate son, Dev. Roop misconstrues Zafar’s intentions and falls in love with him. She also begins to develop a friendship with Dev, much to Satya’s happiness and sadness. Satya dies after urging Dev to give Roop a chance and to forgive Balraj for his affair. As part of another effort to humiliate Balraj, Zafar instigates communal hatred in his friend, Abdul Khan, by demanding for the partition of India on religious lines, which Balraj and Dev do not support.

Plot : Parthiban “Parthi” is an animal rescuer and café owner in Theog, Himachal Pradesh, living with his wife Sathya, son Siddharth “Siddhu” and daughter Mathi “Chintu”. One day, Parthi’s friend, Joshy Andrews, a forest ranger, calls him to help tame a spotted hyena threatening the townsfolk. With Siddhu’s help, Parthi manages to tranquilise the hyena. He purposely avoids public attention over this incident and adopts the hyena after it calms down. One night, Parthi and Chintu are at the café when Shanmugham, a robber, and his men arrive to rob it. Parthi tries to appease them by giving them money, but one of the gang members makes a move on his employee Shruthi. Enraged, Parthi beats up all of them. When one of them attempts to kill Chintu, Parthi guns all of them down without hesitation, but later has an emotional breakdown. Initially arrested, Parthi is released for having committed the murders in self-defense, but his photograph appears in spapers all over India. One such image is seen by notorious gangster Harold Das in Telangana, who informs his elder brother, Antony Das about him. Antony immediately leaves with his men for Theog. Meanwhile, Shanmugham’s relatives attempt to kill Parthi and his family, prompting him to request a high-ranking, armed police officer from Tamil Nadu to be sent to his house for protection. Parthi’s request is granted as Napoleon, having been promoted following his heroics in Tiruchirappalli,[a] is assigned to protect his family. On meeting Parthi, Antony insists that Parthi is his son, Leo Das, who was presumed to be dead, but Parthi vehemently denies this. Antony threatens him to accept his identity and surrender or face the consequences. Antony meets Sathya and tells her that Leo is a mass murderer, prompting her to dig into Parthi’s past. At the same time, Joshy starts digging into Leo’s past and learns about his friend, Hridayaraj D’Souza, who was arrested and is to be hanged in three days. On meeting with Hridayaraj, Joshy learns about Leo’s alleged past.
