Learn how to verify your phone number and troubleshoot verification on WhatsApp. Before verifying your phone number on WhatsApp, make sure your phone can receive SMS or phone calls and has any call blocking settings disabled.
To verify your phone number on WhatsApp, start by entering your phone number. Choose your country from the drop down list. This will automatically fill your country code on the left. Enter your phone number in the box on the right. Don’t put any 0 before your phone number. Tap Next to request a code. Enter the 6-digit code you receive via SMS.
If you don’t receive a verification code via SMS, wait up to 10 minutes and then retry. If you’re still unable to verify, try these troubleshooting tips: reboot your phone, make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp, send yourself a test message to make sure you’re receiving SMS.
